Manjit I only slide the cover. The rails stay firmly against the cab wall of your truck bed. The seal on the cab side of the cover sits in top of the bed rail and there is enough overlap in the front of the cover that you can allow some small backwards movements and the cover still makes contact with the front seal strip. Hope that helps.

Most of the major brands are all made by the same company and put their brand on them. If you buy Truxedo, it's from the same manufacturer.

I'm buying for looks only. That's the biggest "need" for spending money on a vehicle.

Yeah, keeping stuff dry and secure in your pickup bed is a real gimmick…🙄
