This Cadillac has been sitting for three years because of a brake issue that has been plaguing this car for years. It was a expensive kit but hopefully it was worth it. I hope you enjoy
No make one every week. I miss mechanic work I'm not able to do it anymore from injury. I enjoy all the things you do on your videos. You are a great mechanic. Keep it up buddy.
Ike, you are a gem! Thank you for all of the time you spent on the 58. Time to have some driving fun and enjoy the tumbs-up as we pass by people, keeping this classic car on the road.
I agree but always remember do what is going to be best for you because you don’t want to burn yourself out and ruin the fun of RU-vid we all know that making content is hard going anyway so do what’s going to be best for you we will all understand
Hi Isaac , Being in the TV Production angle (Two Guys Garage and Truck U), I am coming at this with a different perspective. Yes, do one every week regardless of the length. It will help you build on your viewers, people will start to plan to watch you each week, like a tv show.
Isaac Great video I always leave a like....I lost my dad in 2015 miss him I like that you put your dad in your videos.. Honor thy father...You and everyone be blessed
Do what you can do. Some of us realize that you have a life away from RU-vid. Live your life however it works for you. Screw anybody that thinks you have to post a video a week. Live your life!!
Longer better video. You are the key element to two of the best tube channels out here. You shouldn't have to run your self ragged chasing a dollar. The quality of the videos are at its best when you take your time. Cleaning the hoarder house for example was a great series that took time. Great video, Thanks for sharing!
I watching what ever you post buddy its nice just to see what you are up to , you have so many cool cars and i love cars so i like seeing you keep them alive or bring them back to life.
The algorithm love’s consistent content, your fans love your content even when you don’t think it’s that great. If you need a week off, take it, we aren’t in charge of your life. Just know that we watch because your content is what we want. If you put videos out every week, I’ll be here and enjoying every moment.
Shoot, I’m good with whatever video you want to put out Ike. None of them are boring to me, but I know it must be a bit of a grind for you at times. Do what makes you happy, and I’ll certainly watch! Can’t wait to see your next video!
a video a week is good for me, even if its like that video you put about someone breaking into that scrap yard you had not been to in ages , its all about connecting with your viewers
Once a week is fine short or long. what you might feel is boring, might be interesting to us. The hands on work is the meat of the videos. Even on cars and camera videos I like to forward to the build 😊.
Another great How To video Isaac 👍. So nice seeing Doc helping. I'm going to really miss my yearly visit with him. Like always this Old Man from Washington NC enjoying your videos 🛵🧔💝💝
Definitely put out a video every week. It will serve a few different purposes. 1. It will let us know that you are OK. 2. RU-vid algorithms are rumored to give better ranking and more $$ if you release regularly. 3. You can do some non-repair videos, such as a session where you talk about how you got started as a mechanic or any other topic. You can also have a video where you prompt us to ask questions, then answer those questions the next time you do not have content. (This video can be recorded ahead of time and released when you need it.)
One video a week Issac your doing great regardless short or long videos u always entertain us..... i learn alot from your videos in a mechanic perspective... btw my condolences to you with your father i noticed the dates and the 19th made a year since his passing..... prayers for u n family.... much love from Tennessee man!! 👍👍
You asked, so my two cents. I really enjoy both channels. Hope Charles is doing well also. Isaac, if you are considering putting out shorts (nothing wrong with being lucrative in business) you are already editing and cutting. What you are cutting would be fun to watch. You know what you're doing. You're doing it. :) It's your oyster. Your ball of wax. Your shootin match. Your bite to chew. Your hill to climb. Your path to choose. Need any more just ask. I got 'em. We'll be here man. It's relaxing watching your videos. Which is good.
I would just be happy that you posted regardless how many a month, i just like your content because like me you're in depth and show what you can and explain a ton
Great video, with good information.Glad it didn't break on the 1st 'bleed'. I had to pump the brake pedal, set a toolbox on it, and go crack the bleeder.Repeat until done.I did that with several vehicles when I didn't have help.Of course it was before 'Vacuum bleeders' were around. We'll watch whatever you put out, when you do.
It's good to see that you guys are working in the OG cars and cameras workshop I still go to watch last week's video I'm glad to see Taylor, John and his dad. so do you guys havevsome go kart's For some old-fashioned yard card races and tearing up the lawn and saying if we can keep Taylor out of the Azalea bushes. That's where the good old days you guys have an excellent day and it's gonna be an excellent video like all and by the way on the turbo diesel kart Turbocharges sounds awesome in a Tommy knocker
That car really suited you.. shame it's not yours but I'm sure you have similar in stock! ;) As for posting, I'm easy although my remaining brain cells have a tendency to be off kilter when it comes to what day it is for the following week 🤪. I'd much prefer that you didn't have to be making a video in the blistering heat or were feeling a bit bleurgh though..... and here's a novel idea... maybe just taking a day off to do what ever the hell you want to! We'll still be here, just please try not to leave us without for 2 weeks on the trot... my head will be completely addled..LOL.
Anything you put out there is okay Even it's just what you're thinking and what's your plans are and what you're looking for even if it's just for running for parts or giving hints on where to get parts cheap do whatever you want
Consistency is king my friend. My advice, release a video every Tuesday. Since C&C releases Wednesday, you will have a natural flow/transition factor to utilize.
I don't blame you Ike for not wanting to do machanical work in the heat 🔥 and yah I'd love to see a video every week even if it's only 15 minutes long 👍
Back in the mid/late 80's in my auto mechanics class , our teacher made a plate with a air hose male quick disconnect , and a rubber seal and turned the air pressure down low , and pressurized the system so we could do it with no help , just have to check frequently to not empty the reservoir. , I started buying caps specific to what I was working on and drilled and screwed the male connector in with Teflon tape and that worked good as well . Oh we either used c clamps but he ended up using long bolts and flat stock to clamp it right enough to the master cylinder.
I like watching a video every week and your videos are always interesting weather you think they are or not but do what you want to as the fans will still be here when you post a video
I have almost the same Craftsman air impact gun. Mine has got to be close to 40 years old. I think it was made in the USA. Thanks for the tip about grease on the bleeder screws. I'm going to start to do that. I got a Pneumatic Vacuum Bleeder of amazon a while ago and it makes quick work of bleeding brakes. The one I bought is only about $15 now.
I believe 2 longer videos a month would be awesome, and it would not wear you out or overwork you with cameras and cars and your channel, too. I would like to see a video of you showing all your vehicles off that you on running or not.😊
So many channels start out as backyard mechanics just getting things done and then evolve into full on fab shops with 4 lifts, 3 welders, 5 bay garages, and then they get away from the simple stuff cause they think it's too boring. Sure replacing a chassis is cool and LS swaps are awesome but changing a gasket in a straight six while the engine is in the car or replacing lamps, rockers, or wheel bearings is interesting. Anything to make a car a little bit better.
Ok, here is the deal. I watch your videos not too always learn something, but just hang out with you. Like going to a buddies garage to see what's new. So just a video of you telling us of what you're going to work on, you know, like a verbal preview. And don't forget, it will be fine. Keep throwing out the videos.
As to the lug nuts, Chrysler did the same thing. One side right-hand thread, the other was left hand. As for the video question, whatever you want to do is fine. What you might think is boring, someone else may find it interesting. You did a great job on the Cadillac. See you later.
Great video. Isn’t it a shame stuff make like crap any more. Tools aren’t like the ones grandpa gave us. And wake summit And Jegs. Take care os issac support his channel
Got a brake bleeder pump kit looks just like yours but came from harbour freight.works fine even used it to pump out a small amount of transmission fluid that i over filled thru the dip stick tube works fine
Hey Ike, get a pop bottle and a decent amount of gas line Poca hole in the cap put some brake fluid in the bottle. Make sure the holes in it and you got yourself a one-man bleeder
Isaac that's a question that only Isaac can answer I'm sorry to say I do love your videos but you could just put on a short little video sign there will not be a video next week we'll have a longer one the next week that would be Real fine and you can Do That sitting in your Living Room floor while the television's on well you have a great day but do what you Feel is best I Know it is a kind of a conundrum but I think you're quite intelligent and you Can figure it out. Have an excellent weekend in excellent video again
Maybe do a video on you CD/Tape collection and what you fav music Bands, artists, groups, rappers.... etc. Or maybe you could do a vid were you are out of your element for example you going to a rave/the mall?
Any video that yourself or John make ,I will watch. I am 65,66 august 10th. Surgery august 22, and currently nursing 3 broke rib's any chance of checking in on it'll be fine,it'll be fine! C&C or issac, I am subbed to both! Anyhoo take care Brother ! Ps miss chuck,ha,ha,ha .
Excellent video Issac :) nice on disk brakes to 1958 Cadillac car and so pretty also maybe another time do road test! Hopefully get new bleeding pump system and shame broken on you! Also yes If a enough votes Issac do video be short then do long one unless got something ergent get out do understand do too show a video and I take both ways you can do!
I don't care if you do one a week or every other week. You do you. It's your channel. The dedicated will watch either way. You and John have come a long way in a short time and I applaud you. You could get sick or hurt or extenuating circumstances arise and you can't do a weekly video and that's fine with me. Like I said it's your deal. Your missed if you don't but I'm not gonna unsub. because of it. Some others might but I'm not.
Whatever's best for you. Every week sometimes, every other sometimes. I do wish the videos where longer. I know its easier to FF when editing but I feel you FF through some good stuff sometimes.
🇺🇸👍 In my opinion it is better to put a longer Quilty video out , one that you are happy with , then 2 cheesy short videos. Remember this is a business and you don’t want to lose your fan base it is after all money lost in your pocket. Not every video will be #1 but if you know ahead of time a video you are about to post isn’t all it could be don’t do it. Time isn’t always on your side it’s life I’ll wait for Quality every time.
@Isaacit'llbefine Every Week. If you possibly can?... I liked the jeep door cylinder key that you did last episode. I didn't know that you could just grind down the brass tumblers to make it work!😅😂😁😄👍🏼 Just one question?... Did you do the rear door lock and passenger door lock as well???🤔 Great videos!!! Both of them. Keep up the great content! Until the next episode. 😁👍🏼🤘🏼👌🏼
Skip & make a longer, better, high quality video the following week. Good show neat Caddy! Ready to see & hear it drive (&stop!). Is this the car you did fuel sys. & carb clean & tune a few episodes ago? Cheers Isaac! P.S. Make a homemade pressure brake bleeder & demo it...
I’m pretty sure a mkd369 brake pad fits those calipers that’s an Autozone part number worked there for years and I swear they look just like what you have there. Also I’ll watch anytime you put one out brother but for views I’d say a schedule video every week.
Older model dump trucks had reverse threads on the left side of the trucks as well, they actually have an R for the right side and an L for the left, I always thought it was because they carry so much weight on them, I wouldn’t think any Cadillac would cause the lugs to back off🤷🏻♂️
When it comes to getting videos out, I'd just go with the option of putting out a video when you have one, better to relax and let it happen than to be straining to make something happen, which is a good rule of life in general... :P
Need to see if the make a kit for my 1950 buick. Right now i got the I8 torn down rebuilding it. Trying to machine the intake to be multiport injected but trying to hide it all to look factoryish. Might just mod it to take a 4 barrel tb injection.
I've been around long enough to remember that thing in the background of Cars and Cameras videos. Wasn't there a red 90s Nissan 300zx on the lift over it too?
