INSTALLING A SHED DOOR AND MORE! 

Totally love the way this looks the plus side about having a door that swings inward instead of outward is nobody can lock you inside the shed for safety reasons if you are a single parent and going in the shed alone.

Now I will tell you how to hang the door. Remember this is a prehung preweatherstrip door assembly. 1. Check to see how square the rough opening is. 2. Where is the waterproofing at the sill? ( Sill pan, peel and stick, caulking) 3. Check to see if door jamb is also square. (Take 2 shims, tack one on each of the top corner same side of the jamb.)this stops door jamb from swing in and out. 4. Set door frame in the opening. Usually I start at the hinge side. I prefer finish nails. Shoot one in the top of the jamb leg. This holds the jamb in place. 5. Get your shims level and carpenters square. Shim as discribed. Note: shims should be installed, by sliding one in each side of the jamb leg. This keeps the jamb square to the wall. 6. Set casing (because this is exterior all wood should be back primed as least). Install lock set. Enjoy your door hang.

Why would you use an inswing door on a shed? That effectively removes a ton of use able space from the shed. An outswing door should always be used on a shed.

WOW! External doors are not recommended to be inswing for safety. It's a small shed so why inswing? Plus, if there is a fire and the door is blocked it could be fatal!

Doesn't opening the door to the inside limit the storage room in a all ready small shed? I'm building a new shed as we speak and I'm going to install a out swing door ,but your shed loos awesome great job
