Thanks man no one shows the intermediate shaft on the passenger side. Your video was the only one and saved me a shit ton of trouble and a headache thank you
“Probably good 6 ugga uggas ago” lmao. Great video man. Definitely gunna do my axels when I get a chance and this video made it extremely straight forward. Keep up the good work 🤙🏽
This was more about getting him use to removing bolts and working on a car vs doing it the fastest way possible. I was training him to move from a detail spot to being a technician.

Can someone diagnose my problem, I believe I broke my passenger side CV joint, my car Revs but when in gear it revs but doesn’t move and I hear a clanking noise by the wheel. It shifts through 1-6-R perfectly fine.
Thank guys I got my fist car, but am a little disappointed cause I don't know anything about cars, I've been fixing my 2001 Honda Civic,I thin I need to change the right front axle, it makes a wire noice when I turn it all the way How much would it cost.
Normally there's a bracket that holds the passenger side axle right to the block, 3 bolts... Strange because a lot of the cars I see don't have this bracket like my 8th gen si does.. but great upload don't care how old it is .. tjx
@@MrSmokeingood from my understanding it's not a "necessary part" but I say then whys it their? I guess people don't put them back on or something. Maybe I should make a video about it.
i got the autozone duralast cv axle for drivers size and it vibrates a decent amount in 3k+ rpm, you think its a fault axle or i should just rebuild oem? i reinspected it a few times and looked good idk whats wrong,
So what noises/ symptoms did he have that the axles were bad ? I have a clunking noise on the front passenger side over bumps same vehicle 07 Civic si I don’t know what it is
Struts are new and also tie rods ima try the sway bar links but there is a bit of wheel play not much but you can hear the thump when you move it side to side ? Any ideas ?
Fdbeast20b yeah I know we took too much stuff off. This wasn’t meant to be a how to video step by step. My friend just wanted to learn how to work on his own car so I was showing him some stuff so he could get use to working on his car. Now instead of a detailer he is a very good mechanic now at the dealership. The clips in this video helped him get the passion for being a tech.

That's quite a bit of extra work, removed 10 nuts+bolts, a cotter pin, and broke a clip that did not need removal, replaced with a zip-tie, because this guy needs practice with a pneumatic impact tool? What should be taught is what happens sometimes after choosing to go this route. What if the driver is a Karen? Now you have their car back at your shop taking up time and space complaining about a zip-tie that was not there and wants the oem clip replaced. Car goes back on the lift and tire has to come back off for a big waste of time. This should require the removal of 4 nuts total. 3 under the lower control arm and 1 axle nut. Everything else is flexible and moves out of the way. When hammering the new axle into place, make sure its nice and straight and push it in, keeping pressure on it while hammering, you need to compress the joints in the cv boot so the force of the hammering isn't absorbed by the 2 bushings along the axle.
