In this video I'm working at soundproofing the cab as well as provide a little heat insulation as well. I'll eventually be putting carpet over all this to finish it off.

Great progress, Paul! I don't think the extras on the floor will make a difference. It's sound deadening not heat shield. I put Dynamat in my bug and am thinking an extra layer on the firewall would not make a difference. You should have put them in the doors and a heat shield under the cab above the exhaust.

Yea I don't think it's going to do anything. I'll get more for the doors. It's pretty inexpensive.

Car wash vibrates and sounds like I'm in a barrel maybe flexing not sure please help. Can some give me steps to make the rear area sound clean and not move all the panels and no flex????

Did you film this a while ago, or this morning (6/7)? It hasn't been chilly in the morning in a while in my part of Michigan. lol Noico 80mil is also a cheap deadener choice. If you really want to quiet down the inside, a layer of Mass Loaded Vinyl or sheet lead (either is about 1lb per sq ft) over the deadener will make a big difference as well. If you use sheet lead, pick up some 5mm-ish closed cell foam with an adhesive backing and use it on both sides as. MLV would also benefit from this, or you can look at a product called Luxury Liner Pro. It's made by a company called Second Skin Audio. Other than sheet lead (available on Amazon) they carry everything you would need to make it sound like a Benz, lol Get more for the roof and the doors, especially if you put speakers in there.

Just curious why you wouldn't remove that little bit of rust from the floor, 5 minute work is far better than encapsulating it where is will come back later. Encapsulators should only be used when you cant remove the rust not just because someone wants to save 5 minutes of their 2+ yr project
