Hi, love the bike! Mine is very similar, but I want to do the same with my seat. What pillion seat are you using and did it come with the two fixings you used? Thanks
I'd be putting a fibre washer or similar underneath the rear passenger pad where the screw tightens. Previous owner didn't bother on my dyna, and the metal tang rubbed and damaged guard paint. Doh.
Can you try finding your sissy bar luggage rack again and posting a new link? All your old ones don't work and I really want that sissy bar because of how big the luggage rack is. All the ones I see online are smaller
Hello, I have the same question: "The bolt that is closer to your front seat that you twist to adjust, what is that called or where can I get one?" I am trying to find this bolt everywhere.
Danny, if you look at my earliest comments, I put in some links to where I bought the parts. Should be a good place to get you started. Love the 48. Enjoy it!
They are 30" black bars with a 2" pull back. I found them to be exactly the right width to keep the mirrors from hitting the tank and they're at a really comfortable angle. This is a link to where I bought them. As always: I'm not the seller, and I'm not endorsing anyone, but this is where I got mine, and they did right by me! www.ebay.com/itm/Black-30-Drag-Bars-Handlebars-Dimpled-for-1982-Up-Harley-Motorcycle-Sportster-/272360007854?hash=item3f69ebe8ae:g:E1IAAOSwGtRXx1Sv
Ok. I am not the seller, just a customer, but this is the backrest/luggage rack combo I bought off ebay: www.ebay.com/itm/BACKREST-SISSY-BAR-RACK-DOCKING-KIT-4-HARLEY-SPORTSTER-1200-883-XL-CUSTOM-LOW-/282083258513?hash=item41ad78f091:g:LCAAAOSwvg9Xc4GV It showed up quick and fit perfect. The pillion seat came from Amazon: Rear Passenger Solo Black Seat Pillon For Sportster XL1200X 48 72 XL1200V www.amazon.com/dp/B012A5FNJU/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_LEwNxbP5VAZVV Also, quick shipping and perfect fit. I'm not endorsing either seller, but they did right by me. I had to go to a hardware store and find a flat-top bolt to secure the seat with (the one I screw about a half inch up at the beginning of the video). I found it at Lowe's. Had to file out the opening on the bottom of the pillion seat a few millimeters, but it was an easy modification. Hope this helps everyone out there!
@@javieretcetc2979 Sorry! Didn't realize you were overseas. They are also called "elevator bolts". Here is an Amazon link. (Just check your thread pattern!) The Hillman Group 4751 Elevator Bolt (1/4"-20 x 1-1/2") - 5 Pieces a.co/d/fDFbhhR
