I just got my grill and have tried to watch a few other people’s videos of them installing but still felt not 100% clear. Yours is by far the best and most thorough. Thanks so much. Going to put this on tomorrow morning.
I enjoyed your video. I chuckled at the language when you were taking off the headlight assembly because that’s how I talk to uncooperative parts or what I say in response to sounds that might indicate something broke.
Really nice job and videoing. I got a hold of my brother in laws 2005 f-150 4x4 stock. He past away and my sister sold the truck to me. I want to make it my own so I will be doing the grill, head lights, tail lights, and break lights and also a leveling kit and more aggressive tires. So thanks for showing me your truck I will be going that way myself.
I did the same wire soldering (T-type connection) - I found this method the best comparing to other videos. However for the insulation I used a liquid tape. Thanks for the hands-on ideas!
I haven't had any problems, I leave the truck parked outside year around and I haven't noticed any real signs of fading or decolorization. The lights still work fine too.
The amazon link doesn't work.. can you indicate the BEST brand? which one did you purchase?..also most indicate you have to replace the letters is this hard?
Essentially these are all the same unbranded grill sold by different sellers. Sometimes the seller will run out of stock and are not able to replace them. That's why the listing will disappear and the link won't work. They are all the same product Here's a couple of links the do work. amzn.to/3uKh8O0 or amzn.to/3sJL9eZ one is prime the other is not prime, its a little cheaper, but it will take longer to get to you.
Hey, was just wondering if you could tell me the brand that makes the grill? Links not working and having a hard time finding it. Thanks! Great video too!
@@xJL. checkout my video on the headlight upgrade. The two mods together make the truck look 10 years newer. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-upNi-dr0zdw.html
Great video. I recently put in the same headlight upgrade that you did. I plan on doing the raptor grill next. I had a hard time removing the spider headlights in the middle of the install.....I actually broke the bottom clip while trying to take it off. Do you have any tips on how to remove the spider headlights? The ford stock lights seemed to pull right off. Thank you for the great video, definitely gives me the confidence that I can do it myself.
That would probably help but if you already strip back the insulation of the wire you might as well not even use those. I would recommend posi taps. They are the best if you want to tap some wire together without stripping the wire and what not.
Different seller start and stop selling this same grill quite a bit. Here's a link to the same one amzn.to/3iPcGJs Thanks for letting me know my link no longer worked.
did you see it after I changed the headlights? I think both the headlights and the the grill needs to be upgraded for the full updated look. After headlights:ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-upNi-dr0zdw.html&ab_channel=jpulley
