Installed the Sxth Carbon Fiber Enclosed Intake on our Elantra N. Couldn’ be any more happier with the completed look. The CPLT intake is not as loud as the open box style but it adds the perfecf amount of intake suction for us.

Wanted to give you a heads up on my Kona N been going through a spare tire hassle well the bad news they don't make one you have to buy a new wheel and tire which is a $900 nightmare. So check if you can get a spare tire you can get the tools for it jack and all but no tire that fits our car because of larger rotor and brakes.BTW the intake looks nice.

I believe a few people are using the genesis coupe 19” spare or the 19” spares from the g70/stinger. We unfortunately had an issue with replacing a tire within the first month of ownership. Now that we have the spare N oem wheels we will keep one as a replacement if need be.

Any HP gain from this? Or does it perform the same as the stock intake.

Due to the restrictions of the stock turbo inlet we won’t see any gains until upgrading that.

I don’t think they do it’s only the plastic tubing now.

Looks good ! Not sure which one to get myself between to open/closed versions. If I do get the closed version, I may just leave the plastic window off to get more sound and get a little more heat protection ! Any opinions on this ? Which one should I get ? (not tracking the car) Thanks.

Personally if you plan on keeping the cover off I would just go with the open air intake. The box has a lot of areas that dirt and other debris will pile into it it’s left open. I think it really comes down to if you want a louder suction while low rpm/ throttle. If you aren’t tracking the car then I would be more concerned with the intercooler than the intake keeping things cool personally.

I have the open intake on my EN and I LOVE IT! I wanted louder intake noises and not spend $500, and I'm very happy. The sound makes the driving experience 10x's more fun. Plus it looks awesome to open the hood and see that big air filter. Closed box has less noise, costs more and performance difference is negligible w/ a tune.

@@LeftenantMalachi the only way your going to feel any more power is with a turbo inlet. The open air intake provides 0 more power benefits than the closed one. Closed box actually looks more oem than just a pipe with a filter thrown on the end of it for us.

The intake is fairly quiet with the enclosed box but we can try to take an in cabin video.

@@KDMStation okay sounds good! Thank you, I am waiting on them to release this intake for the Kona N. I want the closed setup because it’s better for ambient temps, but I also want a little more sound than factory
