When fitting up the fuel tank is so important that you ensure it doesn't leak. Check out how I was able to obtain a leak-free tank.

I’m very happy with the colour choices and how it is starting to look.

Great work on the car - looking good. You might want to ask your helper to hold off on the sanding while you are recording your videos though! Thanks for the helpful vid.

Hi Jamie ; its looking fantastic; you are doing an excellent job. On my car ( not necessarily right!!!) the wiring loom is secured to the circular chassis " bar" by a metal clip or clamp. I agree, the appearance seems a bit amateur if you are lying underneath and looking up but maybe someone else is better able to comment?

Thanks John I’ve had some else say the exact same thing as you, so it must be right. I thought the wire may have gone all the way down inside one of the legs of the tyre rack, but I think they are blocked.

I can't answer your license plate wiring question, but am jealous as a RHD owner in a LHD country that you have the license plate frame bracket that integrates with the spare tire cover frame that is correct. All the US providers have the wrong license plate frame holder. Need a RHD country 'friend' to find me the correct one!

What part exactly are you after?
@profsgrif5286
@profsgrif5286 3 года назад
@@MGREBUILD the tube that comes off the tank ‘frame’ and holds the license plate frame, in the RHD versions (like yours) is different than the LHD versions, because the flat plate is on the other side of the ‘tube’. In the US, for a guy with a RHD (originally Aussie) car, finding the correct piece is impossible.

Hey, ive been scrolling through your videos for educational purposes, firstly great work on your restoration, its looking great. Second i was hoping you could help me. Im trying to find information on the 1950's MG TD rear drive shaft. By information i mean spline detail, weight, diameter, length, material etc. Is this something you could help me with? Thank you

Hi Sophie This is the one part of my car I didn’t have to restore as it had been previously rebuilt prior to my buying it. I do plan on changing the diff ratio later next year. So unfortunately I can’t help you out with any details you need.

Hi Jamie, I’ve been following your progress...helped me a lot with my TD restoration - thanks. My car is going to the paint shop next week but I’m struggling to find the correct paint code for MG red. Could you tell me the paint code you used for your car please as it looks just right to me? Thanks buddy!

Hi Neil I’m glad my videos are helping you with your restoration. The paint I used was a colour from 1960-62 called Holden Welland Red. I believe the Dulon paint code to be 9856. Hope it goes well for you and I would love to see some photos
