Thanks for the video! Makes me wanna go install my dv's and gsk that I've had sitting in the basement for over a year. A video on pump timing would be awesome
I've used a torx socket on my tamper proof screw. I think it was a 25 or 27. Set it centered with an extension and a few taps with a ball peen hammer to give it bite.
@Hazardous-Hotrod-Knowledge Yes, it has a small indent on the top so when I tap the torx in, it is able to make its own shape, plus I think the shock helps loosen the bite before trying to turn it. I believe it is a 25 or 27 on the top and 20 on the smaller afc housing back plate. I reuse the same fastener once doing this.
I used a set of DAP springs in one truck and they were super touchy. Almoat felt like 5k springs. I've adjusted them multiple times and still can't get them how I want them. The other 2 trucks I've done I've used cheap ones with decent luck.
It’s more than that for the differences between the pumps. The 180 and 215 Hp injection pumps have a completely different pump cam that delivers fuel at a faster rate, as well as having a better plunger design. The copper washer is just a different sort of thing they did with the barrels in the 160/175 pumps to seal the delivery valves and was done away with the later pumps
@Hazardous-Hotrod-Knowledge Thanks for the reply I did some research and found out the same , I am bummed because my engine was built as a high output with a 215 pump, but a shop replaced the pump with 175 horse yrs ago .
