I second that. Earlier today I played some matches with this on XMage and it’s magnificent in its disgusting cheesiness. This deck doesn’t even care that much about counterspells, I’ve found. In my latest match I had 18 power on frickin’ turn 1 via an Empty the Warrens! On turn 1!!

Really want to see this played, my only question is why not play a single tendrils in the sideboard because while it is a slimmer chance, you can manamorphose for the black to play it, and thus have a more effective kill than grapeshot.

A lot of lists actually play 4 copies of LED to wish for Tendrils in the board or LED in response to a wheel effect

True, more common storm lists do play LED. That could be useful here too, I would just be intrigued to know what the original designer's reasoning was for not using such an inclusion.

Matheu Fletcher I was referring to mono red storm. I know ANT and TES run LED and tendrils I play storm in legacy lol. The ones that don't play led probably do it for budget considerations

For anyone who cares: if you want to get into legacy super cheap, cut ancient tomb and play crystal vein instead. It drops the price by about $120, making the deck just over $150, at the cost of a slight efficiency boost.

The thing about this deck running Berserker is that it has so many ramp cards that a Berserker CAN get renowned Turn 1 (which is a very hard lock down to beat for most storm deck). It's so dangerous that you can afford going down 2 cards to do it T1.

Veikko Elo I guess the list may be too tight to fit in pyroblasts. I would really want some number of pyroblasts and chaos warps (to deal with enchantments/creatures) at least in the sideboard too though. Maybe with a little bit of playtesting one could find the right cards to cut.

What about instead of act of impulse, using commune with lava? Sure it costs more, but if you whiff it lets you go off next turn super easily

No, a "card in exile" is still in the game, a card "outside the game" is in your sideboard. Although before they changed the wording of exile, you could still retrieve them, I believe.
