The auto-unlock option has the car unlock the doors when you turn off the ignition. When it is set, it unlocks. When it is not set, you have to unlock. This is only in regards to passenger doors. Drivers door unlocks anyway.
Thank you for this video. I have a question. My Treg is also 2004 2.5 7L. I have the old cluster with horrible red screen but problem with screen. Can I simply swap it out for the newer one like you have in the video?
No I don't think you can, because you will not have the correct electrical harness going to your screen, do check elsewhere don't just listen to me, but I think that will be the case
There are only two versions of the display in first generation Touaregs: the monochrome red one, which is narrower, and the color one, which is wider and what you have. The one where the display's sides curve around the gauges is for second generation Touaregs, from 2010 on.
@@NoExpert It's not not a facelift or facelift thing. The color display was an option. So, whether a first generation Touareg (2003-2010) car has the narrow monochrome or the wide color display depends on the trim level and options ordered for that particular car. But both of these kinds of displays sit in a rectangular cutout. (The pre-facelift and facelift displays are not exactly the same, but look close and they both had also monochrome and color versions.) Seconds generation cars (2010-2017) have always color displays, and that's what goes/curves partially around the gauges on the sides.
Hello, is the light still dim? it sounds like the screen is on its way out, you can buy them on ebay and its likely you will need to solder-out old and solder-in new one, I did replace that little screen but only on my audi a3. There are a few videos on how to take the cluster gages out, just don’t forget to disconnect the battery before you start
If you don’t know what you’re talking about please don’t go to videos you should know what a TFT screen is if you’re going to go and talk about it you don’t say well this TFT whatever it is it’s like everything else you do it’s just garbage stop wasting peoples time my time is valuable and I’m sure everyone else is his and they don’t find your videos in four minutes so please do your homework before you do something like this I’d gladly come and change my rating for you but not in less I see a change in how you present this video to people
