Do we need to flush out 2units every change of needle?

It is best practice to prime every needle with 1-2 units (depending on the manufacturer's guidelines) of insulin to remove any air from the needle. This ensures that you are not injecting air into your patient, and that you are injecting the correct dose of insulin. Hope that helps!

Thank you so much for this! I do 1 unit every injection to make sure there are no air bubbles anymore. I think I encountered once with a bubble and I had high blood sugar afterwards so just to make sure I always flush already 🙏
