INTAKE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR REPLACEMENT CHEVROLET CRUZE CHEVY SONIC
In this video we will show you how to remove or replace the intake camshaft position sensor on Chevrolet Cruze also known as Holden Cruze and Daewoo Lacetti. This video should cover Chevrolet Sonic with the 1.8 engine since they share the same engine. We demonstrated how to remove and replace intake camshaft position sensor on Chevrolet Cruze with the 1.8 engine but it might be helpful on the 1.4 engine since they share the same family group. We showed you how to remove and replace intake camshaft position sensor on a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze but this video should be helpful on:

Bought my own part and went to mechanic shop he said he will charge me $150 only for HIS SO CALLED LABOR and also i have to leave the car at there workshop only to change the camshaft sensor and I’ve tried other mechanics too no one quoted less then $110 labor cost (parts not included).. then i searched and saw this video on youtube and thanks to this guy i fixed my car by myself just bought the parts and tools which total cost me around $80 (bought parts and tools from autozone) i really appreciate your work brother hats off to you keep making these useful video and helping other to get rid of those money monster mechanics who charge people more than double and rip their pockets off.. once again HUGH RESPECT FOR YOU AND I APPRECIATE YOUR VIDEOS AND WORK!!

I have a 2017 Chevy sonic LT and I had to change my camshaft position sensor and I followed the instructions here in this video fairly well Yet, I could've done better anyway for my car it was the number 11 socket not the number 12. fyi

chevrolet trax 2015 , 1.8 ltr , 72000KM ,i have change a 5 new intake camshaft position sensor in the pass 4 month olso new engine oil & filter & air filter ,each one last about 3 day some 1 day , but each senor when i unpluged the sensor socket its oiled on in side the socket so the sensor exploding from inside the camshaft , and engine light comeback on ,whats that mean can you help me please , solenoid both are ok also the exhaust camshaft sensor are ok

Crankshaft position/camshaft position, bank 1 sensor B -correlation.... I'm using a Chevrolet Cruze 1.6 LS 1.6 2016 facelift ....is that the same sensor mentioned on your visit

I have a 2015 Chevy Sonic 1.8 liter. I changed the timing belt and components. Now I have bothered codes. P0016 & p0017. What should I do??

im working through that issue as well. my car came up with p0016 code so I had the timing chain fixed and the tensior bolt and guide had snapped and fed debris into the engine. after that both codes came up p0016 akd p0016. so far I have found the camshaft solenoid thread was stripped so had to fixed that, behind the camshaft solendoids is a part, IDK the name if it, but it is whay helps controp the oil intake across the sensors, and they have little tiny filters on them, which I cleaned out and cleaned both camshaft sensors and crankshaft sensors. hope that helps.

the code P0016 is the one that warns you that you must change the camshaft position sensor? my chevy sonic shows me that code, and on the dash the check in light, the engine runs stable and fine in the first game, but when i turn it off and on again it works unstable, it consumes fuel and sometimes everything goes out this in state relenti, please!I need your guidance

Ive done fixed the PCV valve with the whole valve cover. Evap purge valve. Timing belt and pulleys with tensioners twice. Crankshaft seals and camshaft seals. Engine oil cooler and coolant flush. Engine oil change. & man, this car is still giving me a hard time. 2013 Chevrolet Sonic LT 1.8L. I still have a oil leak and the car is running rough. Knock sensor came on and camshaft position sensor and possibly oil pressure sensor. I seriously need help. Ive spent 500 twice in 1 month for timing belts and still oil leaks on them. I cant seems to find the oil leak. 148,000 miles. Please help. Codes p0016. Codes p2199. Coded p0097. Codes p1102. Codes p0101.

Wow, I have went through the same with my car. I currently have an oil leak too. I’m here watching this video because I already changed my timing belt, coolant, and etc that you listed. Now it’s saying “camshaft, crankshaft and knock sensor.” I already changed my knock sensor as well. I spoke with a mechanic, so hopefully this sensor works. I won’t buy another Chevy Cruze ever again

@@Pointif Hello Paul, on my case it was camcamshaft fault. One has small defect. I Heard that's comon. You should check it, look for loss in place where sensor is.

It could be more than just the sensor. You may have to check the circuit wiring and connectors as well

First try replacing the camshaft position sensor B as shown in this video. Else, it could be the reluctor ring, or bad crankshaft position sensor, or damaged wiring.
