@@VancityAudiMan, it’s crazy to see how well that thing performed on those pulls (yeah, yeah, even on that first!). I’m currently running the stage 1 91/E85 tune(s) (go back and forth occasionally) and I’m getting a P0172 code when I run a diagnostic with my iE cube plugged into the OBD port and I knew that my car should’ve been running much better than what it does either on 91 or E85 (especially that!). I currently also have an APR intercooler/pipes, an AWE intake and Milltek catback exhaust. When I give it throttle I hear somewhat of a clicking sound and the car jerks just a bit so I’m either leaning toward it being an oxygen sensor or the MAF one based on the code. Could that really play such a factor on what’s happening on my end?! 😓
@AudiForLife I'm honestly not too sure what the issue may be. I'm also not sure what you'd consider good or bad for how fast your car is. A lot of things come into play determining how fast your car will be including your elevation, ambient temperature and density altitude. Have you emailed IE's customer support with a log and a VCDS scan of the car showing them your issues? My guess is you get that code when you switch from pump gas to ethanol and before your system has pumped through all of the ethanol it still has too much pump gas in the mixture and it is reading rich, which is nothing to worry about.
@@dcxSpartan117 absolutely. On full tilt and 110% effort, after 12 years of development, the B8 platform has reached a 10.1 in the 1/4 mile. After 4 years of development the B9 platform has reached a 9.8 in the 1/4 mile. The B9 platform will absolutely destroy everything that the B8 cars have done in the past.
@@VancityAudi one would hope they would. Insane I can never get a response from their “customer service”. But I love your B9! Crazy the power it can produce dressed with factory parts and ECU/TCU flashing.
Love the videos, been following your B8 and B9's progress since I have a B8.5 myself. Just a suggestion, could you do a video on how much money you are into the car the day you bought it and then how much you've spent on mods? Would be an interesting video to see in my opinion and would gauge how much money you could expect to spend on this platform compared to other platforms. Keep up the good work!
To be honest making that type of video would piss me off, lol. All of the prices for every part I've used are found online. All it takes is someone to put in 30 min of their own time one day to tally it all up. Secondly the install costs for the hardware will vary from shop to shop and depending on where you are located in the world. So I feel like that is a waste of time and won't be accurate for everyone. That's why I've never done that type of video before. With all of that said, thank you for watching and for your support!!!
@@VancityAudi Totally understandable! I learned the hard way that the car can be bought for cheap but keeping up with the maintenance is the expensive part. My car has been at the shop for 6 weeks now so wasnt sure if anyone else had a similar type of experience or if I just am unlucky with the cars I buy. Thanks for the reply by the way!
@@nathizzle12 don't get me wrong, I have had tons of issues with my cars over the years. I just have an amazing shop that I've partnered with to try and fix my stuff ASAP when I have issues
@@VancityAudi love this car keyword "when it's running right" lol but man is it a pain to try and find the problem when issues arise. Other than that I would definitely recommend this car to anyone if they don't mind maintenance.
Love your videos!!!!! Adam... I have a big question for you... I own SQ5 2015 petrol. 100k miles. Before 4 days I put in fuel in a Gas station that I suspect as they have a bad quality fuel. Any way after one day the check engine light came on with a misfire on cylinder 3 when I go up to 4500rpm or up... the car worked with 5 cylinders ofcourse. after I erase the fault code I tried to push the gas again... and again check engine came on... and this time misfire on cylinder 3 and 2 ... And again... and it was misfire cylinder 3 and 1 Or 3 2 1 together. I replace thise three spark plugs of 3 2 1 and nothing. I replaced coils on 3 2 1 and nothing. A few things I mentioned: 1: The gear shifts up very early now... 6th gear on 40kmh. 2: There is a more bass sound from the exhaust. 3: I can drive the car if I'm not push it more than 4500rpm...but the feeling is not as before. Any idea? The car with stage 1 for 6 month now. ?.?.?.?.?.?.?.?.
Funny that I'm dealing with the same issue, I have misfire in cylinder 1, 3 and 4. Car is sitting now as no one can figure my issue out. The only thing I was talled is that my timing is off, maybe from running e85. You might have same problem from running a bad gas. I don't know how to fix it and no shop wants to take my car in because of the ecu tune.
The codes are mifiring 1 2 3 randomly. Spark plugs checked. Coil checked. Timing checked. Fuel injectors checked. What else can be? They're is a chance that it's a right clogged cat???
I have a b9 s5 with cts intake turbo inlet and cts catless downpipe, i am tuned with ie stage 2 and stage 1 tcu. I want to do stage 2 e60-e85 file can i just fill it up with e85 or do i need othere modification?
First off, you need to tune your TCU to Stage 2 to match your ECU tuning. Then you need to install an intercooler to have your car work efficiently on that tune. Once those two things are done, simply tune your ECU to Stage 2 E60-E85, fill it up, and you're good. Here's a video I shot of the process that I used with my RS3 which is virtually the same: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aP_pXtEZlbM.htmlsi=K53InsjdU18W8DcI
Love it! I’ll be tuned. Thinking of getting a B9 S4. I had an S3 and moved on to a Q50 but do miss how nice the Audi felt and that amazing launch control and shift sounds.
My 1 to 2 shift has always been quite harsh. I've compared it vs other B9 S4's and it seems a little harsher than most but on par with others. I'm working with IE to smooth it out.
both 0-60 showed invalid, perhaps the first few feet to get to 60mph was at a decline? and at the end of the run it was angled up?? to average it out to a "valid" slope?? just a thought
@@tristancefail have you checked in with IE with your VIN and let them know about your issue? They'll want to know. Just to reconfirm you are running an IE ECU tune as well as an IE TCU tune? If so, which TCU tune? Street? Aggressive?
@@tristancefail have you tried switching to the 91 file to see if that changes anything? Or more importantly changing to to a different TCU file seeing as that controls your gear changes?
@@VancityAudibut would u need any other modifications to safely run stage 1 e85 with hpfp. Or would that be too much power for the stock eternals to handle ?
@@shelbyhaiketic4212Integrated Engineering has all of the hardware you need to run their software successfully on their website found here: performancebyie.com/collections/ecu-software-tunes/products/ie-audi-3-0t-turbocharged-performance-ecu-tune-fits-2017-2020-b9-s4-s5
@@VancityAudi got it thanks, they also say on the website I don’t need anything else, but I want to make sure I’ll be safe downpipe only on stage 2 , with no hardware changes. Becuse 034 frowned upon that idea, idk if ie also wouldn’t prefer it
@shelbyhaiketic4212 IE will frown on it too. It's stupid to try and make all this additional power without the proper mods to support it. If anything an intercooler is an absolute must. For any of those power mods.
