14:15 and I thought 540Hz was fast... with 90MHz bro could game in all the timelines, not just this one. In all seriousness though great video man, can't wait to see AMD either reduce prices or improve performance as they are no longer uncontested in mobile iGPUs.
Nice job. You did a ton of testing here. Is it just me or is this APU very power hungry relative to its performance? The performance wasn't bad but the power consumption numbers for the GPU were very high.
I'm kinda impressed games ran okay at 1080. I'd probably get a config with 32GB of ram instead of the i7 if gaming is more important on an ultrabook than cores. Comparing with Jarrod, 1 more Xe core doesn't seem big. Thank you for a very comprehensive benchmark for the Core Ultra series (still a terrible name, especially with how obviously awkward it is to say on video lol) 16:15 🙄yeah yeah, good pun lol
11:50( Forza Horizon 5 ) how is it even running, mine keeps crashing constaly no matter how much i try :/ Any tips or suggestions??? MY LAPTOP : LENOVO IDEAPAD PRO 5 (custom-built) Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 5 125H 1.20 GHz 16GB DDR5X 7467 MHz 1 TB SSD 14" 2880x1800px 120Hz OLED Screen 84W Battery 100W USB-C Charger Please help me!!? I know it can run games at decent level but mine keeps crashing :/
The iris xe of these ultra branded chips is different than thag of the previous iris Xe’s, right? This one is based on Arc if I am not mistaken. So it has better performance than for example 1135g7 iris xe
@@Hubwood Thanks man. Really like ur attention to detail. Also u are one of the few creators who have answered all my queries spread across diff vids. Hatsoff❤️
Baldur's Gate on DirectX11? If you can do DirectX12, pick that for Intel GPU's. Just look up the latest video on Gamer's Nexus about game optimization with the interview with the Intel driver's guy. Basically Intel targets DX12 first and working out DX9/DX11 stuff comes later.
Looks like an energy hungry IGPU and it's not even the full 8 XE cores. Can't see these doing well in handhelds but time will tell. This also justifies my waiting of atleast 24 GB of RAM before jumping on a handheld.
@@HubwoodDo the 75w 4050 beat a 3060 130w I had already choose an 3060 130w, but could you compare it? These GPU without enough wattage just dropped the mem clock
I think your cyberpunk benchmark is slightly wrong because with my test laptop with same processor and ram got over 40+ fps on avg. To fix that stuttering issue use fsr that will fix it because xess is getting more improvements with frequent driver updates so i think the old drivers may have something to do with it.
@@G.K.B. It has. The ultra core 7 is as fast or faster as the 780m. So it's defenitely faster than the 680m. This is the "midrange" ultra core 5 im testing here ;)
I believe new arc gpus are comparable with amd and can be even better but amd is still more power efficient for laptops, for me I just bought a zenbook 14 oled with an ultra 7 155H 1tb 1200p costs 800$ over the amd version ryzen 7 8840hs simply because the amd version for this laptop came with only 512 and costs 50 dollars more and there is no performance difference between the two so i went with intel you can see andrew marc david zenbook 14 oled review (amd version) to see the differences between them.
Not exactly. The 155h is very competitive with amd's ryzen 7 8800HS series and the 125h i think actually beats amd's offering in the equivalent tier. In gaming (which is where intel struggles most) it still manages to stick close to amd's offering AMD chips win in battery life when they are being pushed to high performance, although when unplugged AMD chips reduce their performance more than Intel chips, and in lighter use cases Intel meteor lake chips generally outlast AMD's current offerings
so this is worse than the AMD 780m lol. All the press release was adamant about this being the better option but gaming benchmarks are underwhelming as hell. They barely caught up with AMD, such a let down.
this is 125H, the budget version of the core ultra with only 4 performance cores, its below the 6 core 760M. there are also the 135H and 155H available. the 780M's competitor would be 155H.
@@aboriginalmang yes but it's still underperforming compared to the AMD counterpart. This should've been Intel's breakthrough but they are still playing catch up.
This iGPU is perfect for laptop, because you can play indie games, which run great on a iGPU and small screens. AAA games should be played on a big screen, with PC or console.
