Once your wooden hut has gone build a real home, with bricks and mortar. Not difficult, just look to the third world for tips. I wish no one had to suffer with things like this. It truly breaks my heart. However, our universe, a persons preferred god/deity's, and the weather on our planet are indifferent to the needs, desires, and sufferings of what we as humans face. When it comes down to it, humanity can only rely on itself, and each other to survive and improve the world we live in. No one is capable of prolonging our lives or our future but ourselves. 100 years ago this storm wouldve been far more catastrophic because we wouldn't have been able to see it coming and allow people to seek shelter or to head to a safer area. We need to start to rely less on beliefs and more on each other. Only then will humanity stand any chance of surviving long enough to reach the unfathomable potential we have as a species. We could one day, if given enough time, become greater than the gods we once created. We just have to mature ... a lot!!!

There are going to be plenty more hurricanes, and stronger ones at that. All because of global warming.

A transformer blown would be accompanied by an orange oil burn fire as they are oil cooled on the inside, maybe 5 gallons in the smallest, 200 in the bigger ones. Just blue means arcing only.
