About the fibre…I have heard from Lustig, Kresser, Davis all respected members of the new nutrition movement ( I just made that up ) that fibre is useful for feeding certain good bacteria in the gut and if we don’t they might start eating your mucal lining in your upper intestine or move up to lower intestine and cause trouble like SIBO

Loved this! I am a 52-year old personal trainer specializing in strength training for women over 40. I have been keto for some time (curious and leaning into carnivore now for osteoarthritis and anxiety relief). I built great muscle and competed in the Bikini division in May 2023. Each of us, as an individual, have so much influence on how we age. I have female clients in their 70’s who are deadlifting with great mechanics. I have seen them get stronger physically and mentally. It’s a beautiful thing!

Thankfully, this diet is mainly about time. My first 2 weeks were shit in the gym as I was still playing with ratios, adjusting, etc. Now on week 3, my lifts are getting back to normal, almost there! Just for your info and anyone else who might see this: I'm a 31 year old male, 5' 5" (65 in), 152 lbs (68kg), mainly muscle and I eat roughly 2880 cal, 262g fat, 110g protein, 940mg sodium, and some days I have an IQMIX electrolyte drink to help with any pain from the gym. This seems to be working for me, even though it doesn't quite fall into the normal carnivore ratios for someone like me. Every BODY is different. IQMix is my favorite electrolyte drink purely from the ratios and because I've never felt bad after drinking it, maybe a little tired from the magnesium. There are other good ones I've heard of; LMNT, Relyte, and Trace Minerals (pills). Hope y'all get some good insight from this and can find y'all's ideal way to eat carnivore.

If possible, get surgery on your shoulder. IMO, it will help so much in the long-term. I was afraid of surgery for 30 years and lived in pain every day. Finally, I couldn't stand the pain. Got the surgery and felt immediately better, less pain the very next day. Now I love lifting weights again!

Descent isn't part of my value system. Thank goodness for our carnivore community and all I've been able to learn from everyone. Bless Dr. Chaffee...he's a major teacher and influencer. Also Drs. Berry, Cywes, Baker, Palmer. Many more...the list goes on. The carnivore movement will only grow. There are too many heavyweights touting the benefits and explaining them from a physiological, nutritional, and experiential point of view. Thank you, Dr. Chaffee, for all you do. Love Coach Bronson! Excellent interview! The fiber issue makes me so mad only because I suffered from IBS for YEARS and was told by "experts" to eat fiber and all it did was contribute to the problem. I have no IBS now unless I eat something I know will trigger it, like spices. I only use salt to season, smoked salt from Redmond is my favorite seasoning.

Great video guys! I've been soaking up the Dr. Chaffee, Dr. Bikman, Dr. Mason, Dr. Unwin and Dr. Berry videos for weeks. Always looking for other good sources (Dr. Lustig, Dr. Noakes, Dr. Scher) I've now been full carnivore (other than 1 black coffee a day) for about a month. Feeling INCREDIBLE. I was already a pretty strict keto (Summer fruit and mom's banana bread not withstanding) for the past two years. In 2020 I lost 120lbs over six months via fasting, keto and resistance training. I'm 47 and feel like a teenager - tons of energy, great mood, clear mind. Right about the time I went carnivore, I got back to resistance training daily (X3/Jaquish protocol) and am seeing really positive gains in my reps and adding muscle mass. I've even got my 70 Y.O., T2D mom doing a mostly carnivore diet - she's reporting much better BG numbers (low 100s and even down into the 70s!), feeling more energetic (lethargy gone) and less soreness (she has chronic back problems). My goal is to get her completely off her Metformin ASAP. Next up is my father! I talk about this stuff so much with my family that I have to apologize ... I describe my self as being like a little fat cell swimming in a see of insulin that has expanded to 10x its size and simply can't store any more fat (information) and it just has to come leaking out ... 😁

My father who looks great for 78 years old just got his calcium score back and it's extremely high and I had him do carnivore and after one day he quit saying it was too hard. I shifted to (mostly) carnivore in July, but after initially improving in most ways, I am still "dipping". Besides coffee and a few avocados, I eat meat, eggs, a little cheese and cottage cheese. Severe arthritis in both wrists cleared up, a lot of bloating and indigestion improved. But at about the 4 month point, I started getting backaches, worsening knee pain, and return of some gut issues, especially when I eat eggs. I think it has something to do with oxalates, stored in joints, that are being eliminated, causing pain. And rather than being able to do vigorous workouts, my aching knees and back make it hard to move. I'm planning to stay on the plan, to be patient and take biotin which is supposed to help clear out the oxalates, but I'm jealous of you guys, after decades of vegetarian eating, I seem to have a big stash of anti-nutrients to clear.

Paul saladino does a few hundred grams of carbs via fruit and it's been a game changer, when you say weaker what do you mean? When doing any type low carb I've always kept the rep ranges from 3-5 reps and have been able to still make strength gains

I been doing carnivore for 2 months and it is the only way I get the amount of protein I need to build muscle. When I was eating healthy with good carbs I couldn’t eat the efficient amount of protein because I would feel stuffed and tired all day. I just couldn’t eat enough. Carbs make me tired but on carnivore, I have no tiredness and fatigue.

@33:58 the "if I only knew then what I know now" comment 😂 I have thought this myself so many times, but I would not have listened!! I learned about the protein diet in '99. I tried it for 2 weeks and lost 20lbs. As soon as I stopped I never started it back up again. Kids, work, carbs on repeat. No time for health when we are young. As they say- necessity is the father of invention- I think it applies also to intervention. We live, we screw everything up (our bodies included), and we learn (if we are lucky) ✌️💖✨

I came from competitive cycling to endurance rides now. I go to the gym lift and ride my easy rides every other day. After my easy rides I feel like I did my hard VOmax workout. I hope eventually I’ll be able to ride my bike and feel ok after.

Full carnivore diet now for 12 months and love it.

@@shanemoore4197 hi Shane, there were moments of weakness 🙂 but I was held to account by a member of my judo club. Now I coach high fat low carb nutrition as well as judo and have been able to reverse diabetes and resolve hypothyroid issues. We are just not designed to eat high volumes of carbohydrates or vegetables and have no need for either. We have no cecum to convert veg nutrients to those we need. So yes getting over carb dependancy can be challenging but afterwards it is really easy. I tried to eat a brownie a while back, my brain just couldn't cope with the sweet taste. All the best.

Been doing carnivore (and cheese, but try to not to go overboard) for about 2 months now. I'm a sucker for mac and cheese and pastas in general. I was fairly low carb before, which made the transition easier, but I did have rice with my eggs or meat when I ate them. While I miss those foods, I never have CRAVINGS for them. Never feel tempted, even though I know mac and cheese is delicious. I think it gets easier once you get over the carb withdrawal, and also once you feel the mood benefits of carnivore. Nothing I used to eat tastes as good as I feel now. Good luck on your journey!

My question is there a specific electrolyte to have I see that most of them have lots of sugar. I just realized that I had a pack I just had I mixed with two 16oz bottle of water to dilute the electrolytes when I wake in the morning I'll see what the scale says. I tried shrimps once it didn't work for me it actually added a lb, however I went to bed I slept for 5 hours and it dropped back. I basically burn fat while I was sleeping. I can't wait till I see what 30 days will look like for me. My fridge is full with meat and I prep ahead so when I'm hungry that I'm okay.

It's strange how some people need a 3-month adaptation process and others don't. Westman and Phinney have said that most people will need a few months on a low carb diet to adapt to fully restoring their muscle glycogen via the Cori cycle. I adopted the carnivore diet fully expecting to have several months of crappy workouts, that I would just have to deal with. To my surprise, there was no adaptation period for me. Oh, I had a little diarrhea for a few weeks - nothing as bad as what some are reporting, no "disaster pants" - but the workouts just carried on as before. If anything, I felt more energetic, not less.

I have commented before on a Bronson video. You describe me to a T that’s exactly how I was I had to know where the bathroom was everywhere I went. Especially after having lunch out. On the carnivore diet I have healed my lower G.I. issues. Not only did it as an elimination diet help me heal but I have figured out the spices that I cannot have even though I already knew I can’t eat Mexican spices add pepper to the list. Also melted fat too much fat. I have friends who are 10 years younger than me and they are a mess. Medication‘s, auto immune issues. And I have tried to get them at least to get on keto but they will not listen they keep telling me I don’t understand that this is just how it is. It doesn’t have to be that way sometimes I think people enjoy being that way and I do not understand why. I just want people to feel as good as I do. And the weight loss doesn’t hurt. Here’s the problem people don’t want to give it time and they don’t give it time. They’re not disciplined enough to say you know what I’m gonna stick to it and see how it makes me feel.

I'm now 100% carnivore but would really love to know why I don't feel the need to chase the micro nutrients that are only available in vegies as he recommends. Where do the daily micro nutrient recommendations come from? If there are micro nutrients we need that are not in meat then whats going on with carnivore? I used to take supplements but since going carnivore I really don't feel the need to take them anymore, one day I realised that I just hadn't taken any for about two weeks, I hadn't planned on phasing them out I just forgot to take them and feel no need to anymore.

A recent Japanese study determined that 35% of your calories in protein is optimal. A ribeye steak is comprised of 35% protein and 65% fat and a chicken egg is comprised of 35% protein, 62% fat and 3% carbohydrates. The point is that God has already done the food math for his creation. Generally you will find that if you eat the amount of protein needed for your optimal weight then the amount of calories will fall right in line for your BMR. If additional energy is required then simply up the amount of fat which is calorie dense.

Im going to start Carnivore soon as an experiment. Never seen myself as unhealthy but Im just interested in the results. Couple of things about your conversation though which needs cleaning up and makes you look a little amateur: 1. You joke about people saying "vegan didn't work because they didn't go hard enough", yet when people claim to have issues on carnivore you recommend "going harder on carnivore" 2. Early on you say everyone is obese, later on you say "most people aren't eating enough". Doesn't add up 3. Calorie balance has and always will matter. Eating "as much as you want" is not the same as "eating unlimited calories". "...as you want" is based on satiety which is the natural limiter of the "Calories In" side of the equation.
@nathanbean8763
@nathanbean8763 Год назад
1. The issue isn’t that people aren’t doing carnivore hard enough, it’s that they’re not doing carnivore. Just cutting out some processed garbage and still eating everything else the same and complaining about not getting results is not the same as “carnivore didn’t work, go harder”. 2. I don’t know when he said that but I’d assume he’s talking about for bodybuilders or people attempting to gain weight. 3. No, calories are not a measure of energy. Calories are a unit of heat. Calories roughly approximate the amount of food you eat, and eating more food means you gain weight and less food means you lose weight, but the calories themselves are meaningless.
