@2casual why do you think you can start Champion of Mankind when you reveal the tac op? It specifically says, unlike other kill counter tac ops to count kills 'during the battle' I'm asking on the discord and some people are confused but the tournament players are saying that you have to tally kills for the entire battle just in case someone has that card. Is it possible to shoot a privateer support asset when you already activated it? (like you did in round 1) In the rules it states you need a ready friendly operative to perform it
The wording is a bit weird, but it says 'when' you would activate a ready operative. This just means the support asset functions as a seperate operative for activations. The operative that is used for line of sight does not have to be ready or even in engage.
@@rtoevank it's not what sxrt15 is talking about. If you don't have ANY ready operative, you can't use private asset. You just have to use it before your last activation, it doesn't have to be the operative you are shooting from
17:40 I think those orange Kill Team dice are very lucky on rolls, both the big and small ones. Not purple dice though, the ones I have feel very clunky and roll off the table more times than I roll enemies off the board, haha.
I also love those little orange dice that came in the kill team boxes, but sadly 12mm dice don't show up well on dice came. We had to stop using the tiny green dice we used in the first game we did of Corsairs vs Komandos.
Whew, I’m triggered by those Starstriders; we had a guy in my local group that was tearing us up with them BEFORE the dataslate buff. Thank goodness he went away to college . . .
Yeah their support is a serious global threat all game. fortunately if you can take out their 3 or 4 key models the team really falls apart, still easier said than done.
we've heard a ruling go both ways. it states "when you would activate a ready friendly operative". But in the core book, once all operatives have been activated the TP is over. fortunately in this case the support assets could have been easily moved one activation sooner with no bearing on the game. Good catch however
Hey Riggon here, I was saving it for the threat of the death cult executioner. If I could have taken her out with the methodical over watch shot, or at least wounded that would have been pretty big. Her melee is so strong that the intercessor is very unlikely to survive the combat (about 3% chance) and with 3apl and a krak grenade to follow up attack on my gunner was going to do some real damage. In my mind that was the best chance of avoiding a double kill It was a real toss up not shooting the void master. but I decided against it bc the master had either cover or -1 A from close quarters rules, the hardy ability, and improved armor equipment. in hindsight, it may have been worth it, especially if I could have at least injured the void master.
