It's nice to know Gaben actually supervised the dota2 project himself and listened to the pro players' feedbacks personally as well. Maybe it's one of the reasons why dota2 and TI has become such a huge success.
We've come a long ways bois Started playing Dota since i was like 12-13 and here i am 25 yrs old watching the best players around the world on my stupid iphone I remember my first hero QoP and man i didnt even know the mechanics back then, I was like reading the items and was like " this looks cool(linken) gonna buy this one" And i ended up buying a facken recipe hahahaha Man those times Playing dota is stressful but i have lot of good memories about it I think ill grow old playing this game and gonna teach my nephews/next generation how to buy wards and tango for your mid player( playing postion4-5) Dota is Life
me and my cousins (which i played dota 1 with) were excited when we heard about dota 2. we saw the trailer, i immediately searched how to get the game and got a beta key (which i forgot the password of both email and account) those were the days
@@benndarayta9156 you probably didnt know that most of these guys including myself plays dota 1 for almost 5 years or even morr and despite how complex the game was back then, they were used to it. Yeah, until it was patched, improve and then it became easier. But despite all of that, not all players have an easy time getting used in a new environment back then.
I played since 2006 when I was 15 years old and here I am now still attached into it. The only game that always stick around my lifetime through all those console era
Chinese wasnt serious and havent had enough practicing, the hero pool also limited. But who knows, the one adapts is the one who wins the game. Chinese would have won TI1 if they were more serious. But NaVi won. Worth!
Yeah, that shit was dope ... also when axe picks up the BF, his counter helix is fckng unstoppable. Also, when you put Aghanims on Luna she has thorns around her ..
And damn I missed trying so hard as team to destroy enemy fountains and finding those clues/quests to summon a specific hero like tauren chieftain summon, ice frog spawns on secret locations, jeez
I remember me and my brother looking the first Dota 2 Trailer after the Gamescon of 2010, looking at some concept arts of heroes and comparing them with the WC3 heroes. That was 11 years ago
I never played dota 1. I just jump straight to DotA 2 because I saw the 1 million prize. I won many small tournaments in my country but can't get to the bigger or international one. I changed my play style as the patch develop but most of all I learned from Dendi that you gotta enjoy the game and learned from Wings that you gotta master your craft to get what you want. Still playing till these days but it's sad that I have to get a real job so I spend less time on gaming. All these years and I still can't climb to 9K bracket.
I'm reading comments right now and it feels so f*cking good knowing that we shared the same memories. Dota is good now but the memories of yesterday makes dota even more better.
I start playing dota from December 2004,when i seen Dota 2 i knew is gonna be big,i try to convince my friends to create a team and train hard but they never took me seriosly so after they seen 1 tournament they regret and should listen my advice, now we watch the tournaments every year with regrets being to old to do something.
"As much as people dislike all the changes at the beginning, they're all for the better" That's literally what happens every single patch that was released.
Yep, we've come a long way Used to get punished by teacher cos accidentally screamed so loud in computer classes after beating my friends in dota1 5v5. Now just casually watching ti7 after work. DOTA IS LIFE
dude from 2008 until now 2021 even im not playing again but i still fuckin love this game ... still follow all about dota ... thanks ice frog valve and lord gaben :D
I don't know much about dota since I started in 2013 10 yrs old at the time. I'm so glad that I got into dota as it evolved since I started as 2.3kmmr and now I'm 14 yrs old, 4.8k mmr now I want to go pro and evolve along with dota
Sounds like you got a lot of talent. You should really get to know the history of Dota as in, back when it was Aeon of Strife. You'll get to appreciate how Dota came to be. There's a good video somewhere that walks you through it.
atb bro... but rmb, studying is more important as most pros only last a decade in the pro scenes... so getting a degree or diploma is way more important
im 14 too, i still get top grades in my grammar school (i live in England) and i have put 4300 hours into dota whilst still doing quite well in school. Its not about not playing dota because you need to study, its just using your time correctly. I do most my homework and revision at lunchtimes so I can spend 5 hours after school playing dota, and im doing perfectly well in school.
