I wish black women would stop caring all together. I don’t even care when bm date out even if they say it’s “because (input stereotype).” It’s not my concerns and they’ve done me a great service even voicing that to me, because it’s even more apparent that they’re not for me. Black women have this ego about us as if someone owes themself to “the black community,” just because we choose to carry said “community” on our backs. The hatred for IR dating is all about ego to us (yes black men as well). I remember going to the bar and every black woman I tried to interact with rejected me, but the moment I successfully interacted with a white woman all hell broke loose. Nasty looks, assumed I suffered from self hatred, allat. I even experience this from work since I have different taste from everyone. Black women (and Black men) from my impression want the first right to refusal and it’s always the ones who aren’t interested in anything long term that give us the most hell. Most of the time we are just guilty of finding the best we can get within our standards. It’s unfair especially to those you refuse to date.

I'm a 29yr old black man with no kids, pays all his bills and lives alone with 2 sources of income. I don't smoke, hardly ever drink and don't do clubs. I was "boring". Sistas overlooked me all the time. So I started dating outside my race. It wasn't until then that they started to notice me.

I thought there was sound advice given in this video, however it was slanted in a way that only viewed black women as an unheard victim. So I'll give a slant toward black men. In this video we never once hear about the black men that are turned down because they dress a certain way or make a certain salary, also it's asumed that black men that only date other ethnicities aren't worth pursuing a relationship with. This is a problem because many black men have been rejected by black women repeatedly only to find that other ethnicities are ready to embrace them. Neither black men or black should feel like they have to prioritize their ethnicity and there should be an eagerness to want to know why black are intrested in other ethnicities.

However, has any black people considered that being unattracted to physical features of your own race and instead being attracted to the physical features of another race, this could possibly be due to low self esteem? My wife's Hispanic and I'm white. We've heard the same nonsense about not dating or marrying outside our race from family, friends, and complete strangers for years. It comes down to love and compatibility. If you find love and can make a shared life work than I wish you well, regardless of your race, ethnicity, religion, culture, upbringing, or what have you. .... If you're religious, remember: God made all of us, and God doesn't make mistakes. .... If you're not, remember: Genetics traces all of us to common ancestors and we're not that different on a biological level.

This is much more than "I have a preference". Black women on average are not deemed beautiful by world standards.Men from all races rank black women on the low end of the totem pole. It is really weird that no other race is seen or heard talking about how they just “Love” dating outside of their race to date us. Do you think that this is by coincidence that all you see on television when it comes to Black couples are interracial couples or Same Sex couples and sometimes it is still a interracial Same Sex couple (No I am not homophobic at all). It is very rare that you see a positive Black male and female couple. It has been embedded in the Black race since slavery that we are better apart than together. It has been taught and embedded in us as a people that we should love and embrace our tormentor and oppressor. As you can see by this video and all the comments it has worked very well. They tore up the structure of the Black family during slavery, it continued with the removal of the black father in the home during Jim Crow and that seed has continued to grow, flower and spread. The thing they fear most is the rising and unity of the Black race. The way to immobilize and stunt that growth and unity is to destabilize the family structure. No Black Love between Black men and women means no Black family. No Black family means no Black Unity. This thing about we need to move on and embrace others outside our race and “love is love,” is all great, but maybe we should start with trying to love and embrace each other first, because WE are the only ones talking that right now. We have been the only ones talking that.

I don't care who Black men date. The only thing I hate was when I work customer service and majority of the time when it's a white woman with a Black man, the woman always had this tension against me, as if I was her enemy. It's like lady I don't even know you... I have nothing against you... I am not your enemy. I don't want your man. Just doing my job calm down. There is truth in all sides of the spectrum, including both extremities. I mean, we must value our own, just like many ethnicities encourage dating and relationships within their own, but also it is important to value love as it is.
