Gotta admit - when I saw their human fans work together to help the band return home, shaking their hands, I cried. It was so beautiful.

Catching a few random moments of the music videos for this as a kid, back when you could only listen to things on the radio or television enraptured me, because it was "anime" - those mysterious cartoons that somehow seemed cooler than the other cartoons. finally getting to actually watch it when I was older was such a fun experience. its funny just how widely beloved daft punk always was since I was a kid, and they did something as unprecedented as this long before anime was very "mainstream" like in the 2020s (perhaps the french connections had some sway)

So, NOTHING to do with Ulysses 31? I had hoped there was some crossover between this and that cartoon from the 80's what with the blue skinned characters and even art style.
