As a music teacher, I always enjoy watching other teachers present their lesson material. No matter how long you've been teaching you never stop learning new things and new ways to present age-old ideas. You do an excellent job, and have a certain twist on things that gets to the core of the idea very quickly and easily. Also, you have a beautiful voice and technique/style. I enjoyed that song you played and sang on your home page. Very unique and magical. One observation is that I notice you use the terms 'sharpen' and 'flatten', I was always taught to avoid those terms and to use 'sharped' and 'flatted' or sometimes just 'sharp' and 'flat work for most tenses. For example, "After you sharp a note..." or "Did you flat that note?". Not a big deal, but as a teacher I always look for ways to improve or standardize. Keep the videos coming!

this is good teaching, because it is accessible. So much better than much of the stuff out there. If you look for interval charts through google you get tons of lists all are a bit different and that is so confusing to new learners. Some use the term tritonus, some diminished fifth, some augmented 4th & diminished fifth. but none of them ever explain the fact that it is always to be seen in the relation to the scale you're in. it is made so much more confusing than it has to be. you explain it really good. wish i had this much earlier.
