A great interview with Damien. An awesome spirit's talking about success, Older Chest, misunderstanding, new songs, I remember, fear, (trust in) life. - 2 April 2004 -
I love his irish accent so bad! when I hear someone speaking english I usually don't understand a single word but in this case it's all very clear for me. It's wonderful. And what a talented and interesting guy! Love his music, and the person behind it
:) I feel happy to understand every single feeling and reflexions... the things that change.. the ones that don't change.. the energy with people.. the cheap things.. the wealthier world.. the feeling of being missunderstood.. the way of seeing children.. fears.. happiness and love.. :) Damien Rice thank you for sharing your feelings and reflexions..
Im a musician and i have a lot of respect for damien rice, i think he's one of the guys that represents, that one of things that music is about is expression.
it is AMAZING to hear damien express his philosophy ...everything coming out of his mouth, it feels like he knows exactly what's he' saying sure, he'a flawless impromptu but when it comes to personal experiences - he went throught them all
The thing he said about the society structure, education, job etc. That's exactly what i think, its amazing. You can have so much in common with someone you will never meet. I love this man, his music saved my life.
Philosophy is the Art of living" These days I've been listening to Damien rice a lot and it strikes me a lot Via words and lyrics and the personality he has....its jst inspiring as the next bob dylan in the show....who shall steal the show onwards...if u remember " later. -Ashish Jan 03'09 sydney
i love him i really do and hes a brilliant inspiration to me and my best friend.. but count the number of times he says the word change in the first few minutes hahahhaha... endearing :D
I fuckin love the bones of this kiddo. I miss these conversations with my friends in the pub. Now we ignore the music within us and stare up at one of the 20 TV screens put there to distract us from ourselves.
I wonder if he still thinks the same about live - now that he lost him friend and muse, and seemingly his creativity to create another record. Man, get up and running again - you're such a talented musician...
i think damien is right up there with jeff buckley/nick drake/dylan! i love every thing he plays and says! a true ledgend! he makes alot of sense to me!
hes actually well clued in to what hes sayn but some times when uv so much knowalge and experience in ya it can be hard to articulate what your sayn but if ur on the same wave lenght as he is u will totaly get it some day in years to come u might stumble on this again and think oooooooooooo this is wat he ment coz its happened to me a few times lol
With that snobby Dublin accent he was probably set to be a surgeon or dentist before the acid took hold.......i`m sure his childhood was as innocuous and safe as his safe pedestrian neo hurt man ballads....
