When you apply for a green card (adjustment of status) in the United States, you usually need to have a medical examination. The exam must be done by a doctor who is authorized by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). USCIS designates certain doctors (also known as civil surgeons) to perform the medical exam required for most Green Card applicants.

It's a sham. 37:17 he dares to mention 'discrimination' but at the same time has a blind (and mislead) belief in these zines. What a joke of a system. You can enter with AIDS but must have a jab for pertussis? make this make sense.

If tetanus is not a communicable disease why it’s a requirement then….? How can we know before the appointment with a civil surgeon which updates of our vaccines do we need?

Because it has nothing to do with health and everything to do with making big pharma money. You might also ask why is the flu vaccine which is seasonal completely optional for American citizens but someone who wants to become a American citizen have to have it...ridiculous.

Doctor brought a case regarding a female not have any form of western medicine due to religious. Any case of moral conviction?im aware that immigration gives the person a chance to explain as to why not taking or denying medicine

USCIS gives you the opportunity to wave the vaccine requirements, based on religious/moral beliefs, the doctors cannot force you to get any vaccines. I did mine a few months ago and demanded to the nurse that I don’t accept any form of vaccination. They didn’t like it but at the end there was no choice but to accept my decision

@@ledvarangian My understanding is you can do that and they can't make you get any vaccinations and it won't interfere with you getting the visa, however when you arrive in the US the CDC or state authorities may come knocking at your door to require this or revoke your visa. I got this from an immigration attorney.

I believe the civil surgeon would sign it off as a contraindication and you would not be required. You can be exempted from the vaccination for contraindication, religious/moral exemption and 1 more reason related to a person not being able to receive a vaccine because it was not available where they lived - e.g a person immigrating from an economically struggling country.
