With your generosity, Let's see how far we can go together to reinvent the true crime genre
A friend of Chad Daybell for 15 years, Suzanne and Chad had a falling out once he started publishing near death experience books by Julie Rowe. She emailed him and told him that his new beliefs would: “Lead to death and destruction.”
It seems as if Suzanne was the true visionary in this twisted story. Find out what else she knows and discovers during a heart-to-heart talk with investigative journalist Lauren Matthias.

Need to add another thought. Thank you to Suzanne for calling out Chad's behaviour towards Tammy for what it was, abuse. Tammy was emotionally, spiritually abused. Perhaps abused financially as well. We need to name behaviours for what they are.
@TTrojcak

Tammy was very subservient, it seemed. It is like she couldn't say anything to him, and had to hide things from him. So, so sad to not be a strong woman, but I guess that is what their religion is.

I agree that Tylee was killed because she knew exactly what happened to Charles, and they were afraid she would tell. I am convinced that JJ was killed out of revenge. There was no way she would have given him to Kay. She killed him to punish Kay for getting the insurance money from Charles’ death. Lori and Chad are absolutely EVIL!
@StellaFl
@StellaFl 2 года назад
Or once Tylee was gone, JJ became a loose end. Sooner or later he would certainly have blown the whistle on them unwittingly asking for his sister. Maybe he was a witness when she was murdered possibly by LVD?
@jukie16
@jukie16 2 года назад
I disagree, I think jj and tylee were both murdered so Lori could keep getting money from them with out having to take care of them. That money she got from their social security benefits was the only source of income she had and she wasn’t about to lose it by giving jj to Kay or letting tylee move out and go to college. Every murder was motivated by money.
@StellaFl
@StellaFl 2 года назад
@@jukie16 This theory stands only if it's proven that they were both 100% convinced the end of the world was coming in July so noone would look for the kids. Can we say that beyond reasonable doubt? Unlike their other murders, these two were bound to bring them under scrutiny by the children's families ie Colby and the Woodcocks.
@jeanP924
@jeanP924 2 года назад
@@jukie16 Lori didn't give rats ass about JJ and she tortured poor little boy. She abused him by taking away the things and people he needs like JJs medication for autism, his labradoodle service dog named Bailey, and Lori killed her father Joe Ryan, step dad Charles and his protector, and sister. Tylee and JJ were on their hit list of people who would die. They killed off Lori's children but not Chads own kids. Did Tammy know Chad said she was going to die? Did Tammy know when she was shot at the motive was for her to die. Did Tammy know Chad increased life insurance payout? Was her signature required? If so, was it Lori posing as Tammy on the phone or the internet.
@ozzietad666
@ozzietad666 2 года назад
I agree I think Tylee had a mind of her own and spoke it- and that’s probably why she died. Her money was a bonus for them. And JJ became hard work once she had no one to look after him and he was “ getting in the way of her mission”. She could have of course handed him to Kay- but she probably thought that’s what Kay wanted so I do believe she chose that method as revenge also. And of course- money too.

As Lauren says, the most dangerous time of a relationship is when the abused woman tries to leave-and she was questioning his fidelity. Poor Tammy must have been living in an emotional hell during the last months of her life with all his deceit, absence and philandering. The best he could come up with to criticize her was allegedly playing a video game a little? What a jerk! I also feel sorry for Suzanne being shunned by the hypocrites at her church who preach helping the downtrodden-not kicking them while they are down! I hope she finds a new place to worship that supports women.
@kellihall4413
@kellihall4413 2 года назад
Chad could do what he did to Tammy because she was a means to an end. Tammy was his eternal, indentured servant created to serve Chad and all of his needs. And the fact that he fraudulently conjured up Tammy’s grandma to chastise her for doing one damn thing for HERSELF proves just how narcissistic this man was. His calm, humble demeanor is a sham cover so he can manipulate everyone around him to meet his perverse needs. He is a “type” for many men in his particular religion.

Suzanne is smart and a straight shooter. I think her speculations about these tragic events is pretty spot on. I hope she and all the others who knew Chad realize that as normal people they simply could never imagine this would happen - it's simply too crazy. So any warnings they may have voiced would have met the same reception as the warnings from Charles. Suzanne, Heather and the many others who wonder if they could have done more - please forgive yourselves. No one could have foreseen this. No one.

I am really waiting for next week to hear part 2 and to go deeper and find out more of this terrible manipulation. It's incredible to think that Chad was capable of such evil. And what makes this the worst the absolute worst thing to me is both Chad and Lori did everything they did in the name of God. They actually believed that they were on a mission and he was a God and she is a Goddess. And I do believe that they believe that and that they still do believe that. That is beyond sickening. What an awesome POWERFUL interview! The dedication at the ends was simply beautiful. I applaud Suzanne for speaking up and sharing her story; especially despite all the hate she’s received in the past being compared to Julie rowe… how ironic! And props to her for speaking up when she could, how she could. There’s no shame in not doing more, she did TONS more than others even closer to Chad and Lori did. The truth is- they wouldn’t have listened, they would have made excuses and reasoned away the absurdity and crazy beliefs, behaviors, etc. Being an observer and speaking out as a witness is the most she can do now, and she’s doing it. And maybe others will see the manipulation, exploitation and abuse in their own lives, or speak up when it’s happening to someone they care care about… BECAUSE of what she’s doing now. I applaud her for her courage, strength, candidness and integrity. And I thank y’all at @hidden true crime for bringing these important messages to the public and giving them a larger reach and hopefully, stronger impact- bc over 20K ppl are echoing the sentiments these victims of Chad and Lori are sharing. And were all ensuring justice is served. Bc JUSTICE doesn’t only happen in the courtroom. I hope all those affected by these frauds- these cruel, selfish, maniacal false idols- can eventually find peace, acceptance and freedom from their guilt and pain. Y’all are doing such important work and I thank U for being more than a RU-vid channel… you’re an advocate for victims, a voice for the voiceless & a mega phone of prevention & warning, and a loud speaker for understanding- so that those affected didn’t die in vain, and their struggles, their stories, and their name… will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. Lauren, this interview popped up on my YT after watching reels from the C. Daybell trial this evening. Thank you so much for bringing Suzanne on board to share her truths and her personal narrative regarding experiences with her own sacred experience as well as those with Tammy and C. Daybell. I have always shied away from saying "story" when speaking of someone's real life history. ( oh there the story at the end!) because that word is often used to mean something NOT true. I look forward to learning more about you Suzanne. For the entirety of my life, I have been asked to write books and stories about my life and my experiences. I always hesitated because to do so has ramifications that are broad and open oneself up to negative reactions with which to defend oneself.

Suzanne is so endearing and I am looking forward to hearing the rest of her story. Thank you for sharing YOUR story too. I am glad you found your voice and value the voices of others.

Suzanne is such a strong woman! First of all, she totally knew Chad was off! Her intuition is right on. Then, to have gotten out of her marriage with 10 kids, against the beliefs of the church! That is not easy! I'm super proud of her. By freeing herself, she will help others free themselves too. She seems like a such a sincere sweet soul. I hope she finds her tribe. She's going to be a wonderful social worker. Thanks Lauren, for another insightful interview. xo

Thank you, Lauren and Suzanne. It's somewhat cathartic to hear your thoughts on this tragic story. I think we all want to understand, but it's just so unbelievable that people could do such things. It helps to hear it, ponder it, and discuss how two people can actively orchestrate the destruction of so many for their own selfish gain. Much love always 💞

The sacredness of the chapel of a church is not unique to LDS. That Julie Rowe thought she was so special and that was where she should be speaking is an indication of her self-centerness. Chad became emotionally involved w another woman that was extremely self centered, Lori Vallow.

I really hated hearing Simple Susie. People have said "Susie slow a**" and other junk like that to me as well and it's totally unwarranted. Suzanne Freeman is clearly an amazing, intelligent author that Chad himself chose to publish! I feel like it's part of his narcissism and gaslighting to portray himself as this proper, humble guy. He was trying to sell books, to make himself money.

Dearest Lauren, your tribute to Tammy has me sitting very still. I’m like a bird suspended in flight as you read these words. You invest so much of your time and talent with the help of your nice husband to bring light to the sad little corners of our lives we’ve tried to get past. I’m 72 years old and at times I reflect on Younger Me. I see so many innocent young girls and boys at risk to be torn apart by the predators in wait. Thank you for all that you do. At my age, I’ve gathered a basket of wisdom that I hope to pass on, I cannot tell you how delightful it is when a young brilliant mind such as yours adds to my little basket.

I don't know how long Roger K Young has been around, but I learned about the call out when I was growing up in the church. That was the 1970's. My family was not a member of any fringe groups, we only went to the mainstream services in northern Nevada.

Lauren- I LOVED your tribute to Tammy at the end. It was so heartfelt and moving. I am so sorry for your hurtful marriage to an awful person. But so thrilled to see your second chapter with John and Banks. I wish Tammy could have countered Chad with her own vision. I wish she could have said “What a coincidence. My grandmother came to me in a vision last night too and she said I was working way too hard and you needed to get a better paying job and stop playing writer and leaving the family every weekend! I think you may have been visited by a zombie giving you false testimony….She also wanted me to tell you to get T.S.Elliot’s Elements of Style because your writing is terrible.”

Lauren, I love how you ‘braided’ excerpts of interviews with other folks with Suzanne’s very forthright statements for an increasingly clear view of what the ef happened in Chad’s evolution to the manipulative murderer he became. It looks to me like Garth and Emma were on board with daddy’s cult although Emma, apparently on the day Tammy died, suspected Chad was gonna marry one of his ‘wives’ from a previous mortal existence. I wonder if Chad’s ‘emotional affair’ partner was one of those two tall blondes in Lori’s prayer group.

Let me start by saying: Suzanne, you are badass! And don't let anyone tell you the opposite. And if the tribe you called yours before the divorce have a problem with it, find another tribe. Good people do not cast others out, especially children FGS!!!!- because of divorce! I'm pretty sure, if the celestial kingdom exists, they are accepting people based on merit and NOT relationship status.
