going to try clarifying things as i watch again, i hope you don't mind! 1. sadly, they dont have 5 seasons locked in, only 2 so far! (fun fact, season 2 got renewed days before the first episode aired, that's how hyped the fans were for this show 😊) 2. not sure about louis, but im pretty sure lestat enjoys "variety" as he says, even while being in a relationship with louis (which im sure he values a lot more than mindless sleeping around) 3. while lestat is crazy possessive, he didn't hurt jonah because he was someone louis had affection towards if that makes sense. i think that's a character consistency of lestat. i want to talk more about louis and lestats messed up complicated relationship but i wouldn't want to spoil anything... i'll definitely be back in future episodes! 4. louis bit into his wrist in the bayou scene to restrain himself, at that point i think it's been a few months since he fed on a human, so he must've been pretty hungry, he has incredible self-control! 5. you are 100% allowed to like lestat. he does so many terrible unforgivable things, but he is still a fan favorite (of course, it's important to acknowledge that he's not a good person, i would find it weird to love lestat without hating him LOL) 6. love that you pointed out how lestat finds human conflicts "petty". he doesn't relate to being attached to humanity like louis, so louis is distressed about causing a riot that hurts his community who are very much not vampires. lestat doesn't get it (of course he doesn't, he's not black and his trauma and experiences are different than louis') and is frustrated that louis can't see that if he lets go of his humanity, he would be a lot less stressed 7. CLAUDIA!!!!! So excited for you to finally meet her, she's incredible! i think the set up for louis saving her was perfect. his life was falling apart around him, and he feels so guilty for not being able to do anything about it, so once he hears claudias cries for help he sees this as an opportunity to do something right. (also, he did not know her when he saved her in case you're still wondering) 8. there are 5 episodes so far, 7 episodes in total so we have 2 episodes left and then like a whole year until season 2 :') once again, great reaction! i really can't wait for you to watch episodes 4 and 5, and 6 and 7 when they come out eventually. if anyone is reading this and noticed something wrong in my comment, please let me know! sorry for the long comment, i'll be back for the next video😊

Lestat is kind of an antihero. He can be an incorrigible asshole, and a true monster, but he’s is also lovable and charming and manipulative, but you want to love him.

"Where is Lestat now?!" NOBODY TELL HIM! 😅 (Actually, people who read the books don't know either because they changed the time it sets in.) It's so much fun to see you enjoy this without knowing the big events that are going to happen.

Yes this is an incredible show that will age well through the years. I have never been this attracted to the show that I rewatch the episodes over and over and watch as many interviews and reactions as possible because I desperate to see the next episode. I was Lucky enough go in this series blind from the books so i don't have to be disappointed about the changes like a lot of the book readers are. Lestat is the villain, but he is so the most likable villain I've ever watch. And I'm with you love both Lestat and Louie they are both complicated characters that make bad decisions, but you can see both of their sides. No episodes have disappointed me yet!

Something I really enjoyed about the show is that they didn't romanticize how manipulative and shitty Lestat can be and is. I mean it's giving us an outer perspective from Louis through Daniel. Which is something we didn't get in the movie. Louis doesn't see himself as abused because he's still feeling the effects of a sort of Stockholm-like love. But that's what it was... Daniel called it out for what it was. And I really appreciate that this show isn't letting anyone wear rose-colored glasses for it like the movie did.

Louis bit his own arm to stop himself from getting too excited and killing his friend (with benefits).

Lestat is bisexual .,. Anne rice vampires kind of all end up biromantic (they don’t really have sex in the books) after becoming vamps but in Lestats backstory he was always bi. Louis was basically bi in the books and only this Louis is exclusively gay Louis bit himself and drank his own blood when he was with Jonah because he had to resist the temptation to feed on Jonah

As for this episode: In the books vampires have sex through drinking blood. But normal sex is possible for them. So the show is going all in on the sex 😮🙂. But sex makes them horny for blood. That's why Louis bit himself while gettin face. Aww man, the next episodes are gonna get real!! Lovin your reactions, you crack us up.

In the coming episodes we put really begin to see how deeply lestat is wounded like so far lestat has made huge efforts to simply never speak of his own trauma and we don’t know why but like clearly what happened to him to get to who he is now is like BIG

Yeah, in the show, they enjoy sex. In the book, they don't really get any pleasure from it. But they've been pretty clear in the show that they do still get pleasure from it. So that's cool change. I don't mind that they changed it tbh. Lol

Lestat is the Brat Prince. Louis is the weakest of all vampires and also the most human. i've read several of the books....he will also love Louis but most of the books are centered around Lestat...the brat.

It's not that I don't care about your shooting process, I just hope you know you don't *owe* us a work report. Louis saying he can smell Antoinette on Lestat even after she left reminds me of something I've heard from some polyamorous folks online - apparently, even in the most open of relationships, a lot of couples will ask each other to shower if they come home from a date with someone else, just because even smelling another person's cologne can be triggering. I can only imagine how much more intense that would be for a vampire. The fandom has turned the "OF COURSE!" line into quite the meme, as you might guess. It's not that Jonah isn't afraid of war, but like he says, Europe might be more open to a gay man of color. Louis may be our point of view character, but I don't blame Grace in the slightest for how she reacted. Especially for how the door splintered, it would have been so easy for one of the girls to get hurt. Lestat is the master of charisma even if you know you should hate him! If you have a chance and you've never heard of it, look up the Tulsa Massacre, I'm sure it inspired the attack on Storyville here in the show. Claudia will make more sense in the next two episodes!

Lestat is a wise vampire but we also have to remember that he's a white man and will never understand Louis' anguish and trauma as a black man. That's one of Lestat's flaw, he's a bit arrogant, a bit self centered. Of course he sees Louis' reaction the way he does, as someone who has dated a white man it's frustrating when your white partner doesn't understand your emotions and your ttrauma that has formed from years of racism. Just wanted to point that out.

If you’ve read her other books in the Vampire Chronicles, you should know that by the time these events occur with Louis, Lestat has already met and drank from Akasha- the Mother of ALL vampires. And as such, Lestat is very powerful. Hence his telepathic powers, fire gift, and cloud gift(ability to fly). In the present, as Louis is retelling his story to Daniel Molloy, Lestat is very much alive and knows more or less, where Louis is. And Lestat and Louis have patched things up (sort of).
