Claudia has truly suffered more than Jesus. Every version of her story hurts. The book, movie, and show. Her relationship with Louis is so complex and well written.
This episode. This episode right here and listening to Claudia talk about what she endured is what cemented in MY heart that she is the real victim through all this 💔 I'd still ask the lord to split me 3 ways for Louis , Armand and Lestat. Happy Pride 🏳🌈!
LMAOO not 3 waaaaayyss! IKNOWDATSRIGHT 😂 Louis takes it for me! And omg yes, I realized while editing that she was actually talking about her own story and it made me extremely sad. I understood why Louis looked so sad.
@@wwhnif you go by the books, Lestat was more powerful than Armand from the beginning. Armand tried to overpower Lestat, and Lestat easily put him in his place. It drove Armand crazy because being the older vampire, he should have been able to easily defeat Lestat. Lestat has always been special.
We've seen Lestat freeze time as well - remember the poker game in season one? (Side note: that little edit you did after Armand telling Daniel that it had been wrong for Louis to invade his memories? Chef's kiss.)
Just to prepare yourself, you may not like Louis as much (well past Louis) in ep. 5...though I forgive everybodies wrongdoings in this show cause Louis, Armand, and Lestat are all my traumatized babies that can do no wrong xD.
10:59 in the books vampires can't have penetrative sex. And when a person becomes a vampire their life pretty much revolves around blood instead of any of the human pleasures they may have enjoyed as a human...So biting and drinking from each other is the way that they have sex. Later on in the book series Anne Rice does eventually kind of retcon this and make it so that vampires do have a way to have penetrative sex through science, IIRC... The show just didn't really care about the messiness of that whole thing... And so they just made it so that vampires can have penetrative sex in the show from the beginning making it so that a messy retcon doesn't have to happen .... But the show does ALSO keep the allegory of vampires drinking each other's blood as sex... We see it happen a COUPLE of times in season 1... Between Louis and Lestat... A notable example is during the big fight scene in season 1 where Lestat bites Louis and Louis looks like he's in pain instead of pleasure... That was intentional. It was an intentional SA allegory. To be fair It was pretty much an allegory that ONLY book readers or people who understand what vampires biting each other actually means... but it was intentional. There is also a moment between Louis and Armand in present day back when we thought Armand was human... In that scene, it looks like Armand is really REALLY enjoying being bitten and drunk from by Louis and is trying to hide the pleasure in his face. It was actually an indication that Armand was a vampire(I mean humans can also find it pleasurable but vampires find it VERY pleasurable! And the other human that Louis drinks from on the show in season 1 DIDN'T have the same reaction) which a couple of people within the fandom picked up on! So yeah, its less foreplay and more full on sex for vamps. 🤷♀️
Lol im so sorry i support my male wife's rights and wrongs. Louis do not know what to do with all of that so I slide my happy ass right in. On a more serious note I love this show and your reaction. Armand isnt really putting things in his head persay, Daniel is remembering stuff from when all of them 1st met
Lol listennnn I know that’s right. Claim your MAN!!! Lol and that makes sense because I did watch the 4th episode and the ending of that one touches on it. So he basically just was remembering flashbacks of that man all in his face??? Lol
Armand wrote a whole fanfic lmao 💀 Lestat can beat his ass easily And Lestat never was interested in Armand as a companion. And Lestat ignoring Nicky? Sorry Armand you got carried away The moral of the story - don't believe Armand, he's more unreliable than even Louis himself
Right and Wrong, Lestat mentions a few times that he does feel something for Armand throughout the books. TVL and TVA both make it clear that Armand is very much an all-or-nothing kind of guy, though, and Lestat is fundamentally not compatible with that. They always seem to find their way back to each other, even telling each other apart from other vamps. It's wild reading through the books again.
