Is it ok as a cis female to read your book finn? I've followed your journey for a long time as its so motivating to keep going in different areas of my own life (mainly MH stuff) I'd love to read your book but i dont want to be a bad ally in so far as i know there is a lot of objectification of trans people by cis people and obsessions with their downstairs.
@@thoraneh7365 my friend I really appreciate you asking this! Absolutely its oh for a cis person to read this. My book is far more than just surgery, it dives deep into the lives experience of what it's like to adapt to a changing body and the way it improved my life, so yes! I think it will be a great book to help folks who are not trans to understand what we have to go through, and also to understand how impactful surgery is.
Just to add, I find focusing on my breath to be really useful when undergoing procedures like this. It's not perfect, but it if we can control our breathing it can help with feelings around pain.
That is a very very good point ! Its something it do too but I'm so used to doing that I forgot to mention it. Its tempting to hold your breathe, butbdeep breathing is far more helpful isnt it

I am from the states and I do the Testopel implants. I had a hard time with doing the weekly injections and my body wouldn't absorb the testosterone. Testopel is done in the doctors office every 3 months and has helped me tremendously. I've never heard of Nebido. Curious if you ever heard of Testopel?
Wow yeah this is totally different from how I do it (i use perrigo), because I was prescribed during the pandemic I wasnt able to have a nurse show me how to do it, so i just watched a bunch of youtube vids on it and just inject it into my thigh. It must be such a relief to have someone else do it for you. And I just hit my 4 month mark a few days ago! But super interesting video and I love all of your content your so nice and the "frankness" of your videos is honestly refreshing. Much love from the us!

Hi Finn - I was on nebido for many a year but my T levels shot up to 38.8 and even with the injections far apart it was just not coming down, so switched to gel BUT as you know i came off of T completely for about 8/9 months until my levels fell and the side effects dropped off completely. I'm now on a small doseage of Gel 25mg a day and it works no bad side effects like before my levels are good. I really much be senistive to T its the only thing i can think of. good video though.

@@FinnTheInfinncible The human body is just amazing and really interesting to me and how different things effect different people. I was really quite concerned about having no HRT in my body as I've had a full hysto and worried about brittle bones later on. SO very pleased that my body likes a low T dosage better, and breathe. Haha.
Great video as always Finn! I’m on Nebido. I do get it at a lower dose and more frequent intervals since I was having issues with high T levels , and fatigue at the end of the T cycle. I know of a couple of other guys who do the same , and some also add gel at the end of their cycle to avoid fatigue/mood swings. I have my wife administer it (because of Covid ) , she has been coached by a nurse. It’s easier on me than it is on her hehe. Some of the nurses I’ve had in the past have not been very educated on this type of shot, one time the syringe came loose mid injection and shot across the room!
Oh my goodness! Yes I have had nurses that I have had to ask to slow down because they are not aware, bad isnt it! Very unusual to split a dose of Nebido, unless you mean that it in a complete vial just with less volume? I was always told that it cant be split as it has carrier in there with the t so if split, you cant get the right mix? Interesting how things are done differently across the world. Lucky you with a nurse wife!
@@FinnTheInfinncible yeah we just use less of the content of the vial, toss the rest. I hadn’t heard about that being an issue, but that makes sense. So far it has been working out fine though thankfully! I’ll have to ask my endo about that next time for sure.
Honestly thankyou so much for this video I'm not great with needles, I did as you suggested and warmed it up before hand and barely felt anything, also went on a little walk after the injection, feeling much less nervous for the next one!

This was very informative. I'm recovering from my recent shot because I went just a little too fast with it. Feels like a punch in the leg, but all will be well when I do the aftercare steps.

Thats a good question! I do have a few tiny scars on my bum from the needles but not overly noticable. And it has got easier because I know what usually works to give me a low pain experience, but ever now and then I still get a bad one!

Thanks for the tips. I've been on Nebido since mid 2019. First two times I was told to lie down & it hurt like hell. Since then I've found that, lime you said, standing & taking the weight off the side being injected helps a lot. I live a short walk from my GP anyway, so I get the brisk walk in beforehand, but I also find that taking the longer way back home (maybe 1km) helps to ease the pain a bit. Also tippity top tip is to try not to put weight on the cheek that got injected too soon after, be that sitting or lying down, as it can be quite uncomfortable.
Out of interest what level of testosterone do the NHS aim for ? I think the units would be nmol/l . How often do you check your level to see if stable?

I put a lot of them in there....? I don't know if we have that here in the states or not, but that would be SO WONDERFUL to not have to jab every other week, accidentally hit a nerve, blood vessel, or bone (the needles they give me are too long! I keep trying to get shorter ones.) And I've also wondered if the muscles I have in my thigh will turn to Swiss cheese after years of injecting 😱🤔 (my thigh muscles are bigger than my bum muscles) I also hate "needle anxiety"! I do mine myself bi-weekly, alternating every other leg. I never thought about the temperature of my T when I inject it, I would imagine that would make a difference, thank you for the tip! I've hit my nerves in my legs a few times and have actually not been able to walk (infrequently thankfully! I'm still learning my spots where it's safe!) and make a note of where NOT to stick my needle in, or in TOO far OUCH! I found out even with the way my Doctor told me to dose, massage is NOT a good idea, I've had some of my T leak back out, then my lab tests come back low. Lovely as always to see you Finn! Hi thanks for the vid. I subbed. Just having problems with lump in my upper glute no redness but hurts bad enough. Doctor saw it and gave me some cream and NSAID. I think that's how you pronounce it🤔 in any case it's been about 10 days now and it's gone down a little but hard as... Just wondering if I should worry?

Great video! You don't know how much this info helped! I do, however inject into my thigh. I am disabled and cannot use my left arm limiting my injection choices. So, I use my right thigh. Is it ok to repeat injections in a general area? I've had 4 hip surgeries taking away a lot of muscle in my butt. Also, I've had blood clots. Two times in four years. IDK if it's due to using T but all signs point to it. I desperately want to continue my journey and using T is just part of it. A little scared. Any suggestions? Ah my friend I am so glad this video helped! Thank you so much for your kind comments. I would suggest alternating where you do your injection, so swapping thighs each time if you can. I can understand your worries re blood clots. Is there an endrocrinologist you can speak too? I hav heard that giving blood can help to thin the blood and reduce the risk of blood clots. Might be worth asking your doctor about that? Let me know!

im going to get my first shot of reandron (basically nebido in australia) in two weeks and i am terrified i dont hate needles but who likes them? its really hard to find any info about this injection and this video really helped with my anxiety! still scared but i feel a bit more prepared :)
Oh goodness, I cannot remember my early ones Im afraid, I have old man brain and that was 8 years ago! I do remember that they just crept up nicely as planned. Levels now though sit at around 17nmol/L. Hope that helps!
i had my first T injection yesterday (done by a nurse) morning but in the evening my leg hurts a lot its feels like a bruise or a muscel sornness but than realy bad were it even hurts to walk. do u know anything about that? is it normal or should i be worried. and is ther anything i can do about it.
Hi my friend. Congratulations on your first t shot This can happen sometimes. Did the nurse domit slowly enough? Even when done slowly, sometimes for no reasons we can work out, we get some pain afterwards. As long as nothing is red or swollen it should be fine. If in any doubt, get it checked of course
Hi any tips to control allergy after shot , i am living in kashmir and i been using indian brands which was testoviron depot for year and half then i changed to sustanon both gave me allergic reaction after some shots what i do to prevent it it almost killed me 😢please help me if anyone knows
I should've seen this video before I had my first shot today 😅 my blood pressure dropped right after the injection which led to me shaking whilst cligging to the waste bowl. Standing might've not been the best idea 😂
