Really excited by the idea of running an Outlander campaign, running it, then fast-forwarding 5 years and using the settlements created (and how prosperous they turned out to be, wacky stories, legendary deaths and whatnot) to develop the trade routes for an Ash Wastes campaign. Also, I think the Book of Ruin has, if not the whole Uprising Campaign, at least elements of it. Great video!
Yeah, Book of Ruin has the campaign variants for uprising but not all of the rules, it’s very odd. And I love that idea, you could even mix in some rackets (eg we’re running ghast on this trade route, unless it gets interrupted) for maximum effect
Owning Book of Ruin myself, I can confirm that it has... modifiers for the campaign. For example, instead of chaos focus, you can make it GSC infection focused, or essentially play the campaign in reverse, starting with the scavenging mode and going to the more classic campaign later. I'm sure if you were clever and cross-referenced you could reverse-engineer the Uprising campaign from the context in Book of Ruin, I'm mostly annoyed that it didn't make it to Judgement or Ruin considering they were released around the same time, or in Outcast afterwards.
Great series, as a new player it’s not easy to get started and these have been really helpful! Also can I ask, what are the storage bins(shelves?) they’re something I probably need a LOT of lol thanks
Kvissle letter trays from ikea, if you flip the tray (or remove the cork from the top) it makes a great magnetic storage rack for a very reasonable price!
@@crimson_oracle Oh man this looks awesome thanks so much! And that (cool) website it's up on only has two resources on it that even mention roleplaying - this campaign, and one single other thing rofl. Huge props!
How many players do you need to play the various campaigns. I want to get into Necromunda, but don't know anyone who plays. Could players control multiple gangs to make up numbers, or does that break down if you have to pay yourself or pay someone else's gang?
You can definitely do multiple gangs, if you only have 2 players running 1 each is a great idea. I am running a campaign with 3 players currently and we’re about to found some extra gangs for more variety, but 3 or 4 is enough, for 2 players just starting out the goonhammer campaign is a pretty good starting point too, since it starts smaller and is fairly linear, so you don’t wind up quickly outpacing each other
