I wish they offered this with the headlight and brushroll shut off. And a huge pulse with the dual fan motor like the r20up… but I see where this fits in their lineup
Could you please do a comparison with Riccar Spirit vs Prolux 7000? I had the Simplicity 6000 series and since Simplicity is a cheap foreign machine and RIccar is more expensive I would appreciate you comparing the Spirit with the Prolux upright series.
Interesting the brush roll shut off is a failure point.....I haven't experienced that failing with any vacuum... then again, I don't use the clutch to turn the brush roll on off...becuase I don't use the vacuum to clean hard floors ...I connect the extension hose with the floor brush to do that... really the only time the brushroll gets turned off on mine is when I put it in the upright position.... I did however see a video where a vacuum repair guy said that if you're going to use the clutch to turn the brush roll off... turn the machine OFF first.... then press the clutch to turn it off or on...then turn the machine back on.... what that does? I have no clue. He explained it but that went over my head.
This one is assembled in Missouri. They have been blowing up dealers with teaser photos of the assembly line in production for weeks without showing the actual product. We all hoped for this product but they were really good at keeping the entire project pretty hushed until last week when they announced.
We don't suggest it. Tacony (Riccar's parent) has had this platform available in their commercial line up "Clean Max" for years however. It is generally not suggested to use residential machines in commercial or professional cleaning environments. While the machines are often very similar or even identical most machines residential warranties are voided by using them commercially.
