@Hoobes1: My guess is because Google doesn't have an office in Vienna. It does have quite a bit of street view in Milan for example.

There is this river underground. About a mile down. Some people ventured to it. A river to find an exit to view. And now some people have cameras that say we can do. River view Magma view

Google earth's fantastic, i went for a vacation to thiland, i had been the year before but i didden't know my way around so i missed out on a lot of places, so i walked the streets of Bangkok & Pattaya using the street view, the little orange man that,s on the map, just drag him to any street and off you go. i just knew where to go the second time in Thailand,A big thumbs up for Google Maps.

I live in whistler so no problem there I can actually ski the slopes

google, if you need someone to ski with a camera on their back...I'd be more than happy to map out all the mountains of the world

And isn't it great they're using their money and technology to let us experience a little part of the world that some will never get to see? I'm fortunate that I've traveled quite a bit, but most people haven't.

@carloaccount They have, in fact^^ They tried print ads in newspapers as well as radio, and they failed. (Googleit!) I think google would have to use their sound statistics to leverage into whatever industry they attempt to penetrate. It'll be interesting to see them successfully do this in a non-tech industry.

I agree, they do give us a window we would not normally have access to.

more the merrier, it can be a google ski mapping team...oh and we mustn't forget all those untouched peaks we can only get to by chopper (google chopper - map the sky on the way up)

I have a question...the Google based in Boulder, CO, had several street cam bicyclist ride through the University of Colorado at Boulder's Campus over a year ago...so my question is, how come there is no street view for the campus yet?
