I will be traveling to the Cook Islands in June (Rarotonga). It wouldn't make sense to send a car there, but if you'd be able to send a trike there, I could take the StreetView for you (I'm a cyclist - so it works perfect!).

Hi, My friend has a pashley electric trike and we are planning to do a series of tests, filming the Somerset Wetlands with a HD video setup mounted on the back very similar to what you have on your trike!
If it has not been recorded yet, please make Great Allegheny Passage, C&O Towpath, Pine Creek Rail Trail, and Le Petit Train du Nord bicycle trails a top priority! These are among the longest and most beautiful bicycle trails in the Northeast of North America!
Send me one and I'll take to the trails of Wisconsin.....we have lots of great former train track beds which have been converted to bike paths and run through the glacial features of the state....I'm a well seasoned, strong rider....just sayin.
have mixed feelings: on the one hand, there is the privacy thing, without the car you are able to get even more into the privacy of each citizen, which isn't the best thing for them on the other hand it's more data we can use now and also it's better for the atmosphere, so it comes into my mind why you didn't use this bike before for the street thing, it would be better for the atmosphere because less co2
I wish I had a rig like this to do street-level mapping. Using old iPhone w/lame bike handlebar mount to gather images for Mapillary data, used for tweaking OpenStreetMap project maps.
How can I work on this? I would love to cover all the prommenades of my city, it's something that I actually do, I love cycling! Someone knows how to contact google? Cheers!
@muhablaha That was done through Nature Valley trail.com...I tried to navigate their site and it was too slow. I hope Google Street View takes on the challenge of doing the Natl Parks.
@sueyking Yeah, like there arent already quite detailed maps available for anything quite easily anyhow. to some people, ignorance is bliss. and to some people not thinking about things they could easily know is a bliss. but i certainly hate the latter.
I would do this in parking lots and stuff to be honest, like I wanna get close up of a shop to see what it looks like without going there yet, or when people mention that place was on a movie, I want to see if it matches from the movie, I can't do that from the road, and the extremely bad quality
Wish they would sell those bikes without the camera equipment eventually but with the box still in the back. Would make a pretty cool motorized bicycle.
He just has to tell them with a quick sentence, you're face it automatically blurred, and so will other parts of your body and some other objects aswell (because they take the blurring so seriously, it blurs other things on accident, lol)
