I remember that I studied this alone, I just memorized the equivalent of english alphabet to the korean ones then observed on how they wrote korean on korean news articles, then I just figured out the rest on my own😂 Luckily, the way of my strokes is also the same here in the tutorial, so that 1 month of studying by myself summer last year and ignoring my friends are totally worth it😂😂

this is super helpful as a beginner Korean learner. I already know two languages which comes in very handy when trying to 'match' the character and sounds English really cannot match the characters well! I am learning so much and these videos are so helpful and they're just at the right length that doesn't bore my brain out. thank you again and I applaud Alisha(sorry if I spelt it wrong!) for getting those long sentences out you go girl!

As a beginner myself, I started with Hangul (the alphabet), so I could read and speak with the right pronunciation -still struggling with some consonnants though-and whenever I look up a word in a dictionnary, I can read it. Then I moved on to simple sentences, then I'll learn more vocabulary and so on and so forth, while watching Kdramas to keep me going, so I can try to spot some words and then look them up. Within a week, I could read and nearly write in Korean, and I know some small sentences. Hope that will help!

@kannkak4893
@kannkak4893 7 лет назад
I can tell you the order I watched it in even though this comment is pretty old, I hope you find it helpful. 1. First I started with the Hangul characters. They have I think 7 or 8 parts and it is super useful since I learned the whole alphabet. 2. Second I suggest you start with "Introduction to Perfect Korean Pronunciation" 3. "Top 5 Mistakes To Avoid" 4. "Perfect pronunciation of Korean vowels" 5. Then continue with other introductions to grammar, bootcamps and everything else :)

I'm a beginner korean learner and do not know much, but from my knowledge, it can be written in any way, infact many koreans don't write it the way they show in tutorials, but it is apparently easier to write it the way they teach... but from my knowledge, it can be written any way.. sorry if my grammar is bad, english is not my first language. Hope I helped in some way though :)

So is it okay if i write it in my way without stressing much about the placing? Would really appreciate a reply 'cause these placing rules are driving me crazy.

I have a question ( 랑 ) has the consonant L and the voyelle A if they both are present then why do we add the *ㅇ)
@AbbyStacks
@AbbyStacks 8 лет назад
If the ㅇ is the last "letter" of a word , it is pronounced as "ng" so it makes the word 랑 pronounced as rang

@AbbyStacks

I have a really hard time with pronouncations. Especially with how you stress them like these: ㅅ, ㅈ, ㅊ, ㅂ, ㅍ. Please help! 😊
@KoreanClass101
@KoreanClass101 8 лет назад
Hi jamtoast_erin, Thank you for posting. The consonant 'ㅅ' is closest to the alphabet sounds s/sh, 'ㅈ' closest to the sound 'g', 'ㅊ' closest to 'ch'. The consonant ㅂ is closest to the alphabet sound 'b', and 'ㅍ' similar to the alphabet 'p'. We have lessons on pronouncing Korean consonants and vowels at our website (www.koreanclass101.com) if you are interested learning more about pronunciation, signing up is free!
