The Intuos Pro Medium and Large came out last year but ever since been a hole in Wacom's Intuos lineup. If you wanted a smaller drawing tablet you had to go with the non pro version that doesn't have all the bells and whistles like touch and the ability to go wireless with Bluetooth.

I see this small size as the best option for non dedicated artists like myself. I’m a video editor, but occasionally I need to create graphics and illustrations for my videos, and that’s when it’s nice to have a small tablet on the side of my desk that I can grab and make a quick sketch real quick. Anything bigger would take up an ungodly amount of space for something I barely use, but still need

Whew, my hand was cramping up just looking at how small it is. I can see how drawing within such teeny confines would change how you apply your lines. Thanks for the review!

I actually bought the Intuos Pro Medium from 2017 a couple weeks ago, and while it's great, I ultimately decided that it wasn't worth it to upgrade from the 2013 model, which I already own. I thought the bluetooth and the smaller footprint of the tablet would be worth it-and they ARE great!-but when I went back to the older one just to see how it felt after using the new one, I discovered there was NO drop off in the user experience for me. So I'm returning it to stick with the 2013 model. I would however, recommend the newer one to anybody looking to get a drawing tablet.

I owned the previous version of Intuos Pro small. Loved it at first but after i started using it more i noticed my hand and wrist was cramping up after 1-2hours of use (tho i took breaks and was stretching). Saw a sale on the 2018 Intuos Pro Medium and got it in a heartbeat. Sold the small one to get some money back. Intuos pro is the best drawing tablet i ever used, but never again am i going back to the small size. The medium size feels like heaven. It's just perfect.

I have that original Small Intuos Pro as well and I never really used it. To begin with I only bought it for the components rather than the tablet itself because I needed to replace my broken pen for my Medium Intuos5 and the pens sold separately were so expensive it was a much bigger bang for my buck to pay slightly more and get an Intuos Pro S that included the pen, the wireless module and a cable, all of which were compatible with my main tablet. I tried out the tablet itself and sure enough, it was too small to be comfortable. I kind of figured this would be the case but it was nice to finally confirm it first hand and never think about getting the small versions ever again.

I have a huge Wacom Intuos Pro (I think it's a Pro), medium sized, that I bought circa about 2010. I hadn't used it in years. I looked up its model, installed a driver and chuckled at how wonderful it was. Plug it in and it plays. My plan was to use it to edit photos, something that never happened. Now I'm more interested in drawing and it's like having a dream. Wonderful. I'm trying to decide whether to use it or buy a Wacom One, which has been amazingly priced for the Cyber holidays. I figure I'll step off into unreliability if I do, so I'm practicing with my Intuos first to see if it meets my current hobbyist whim. Thanks for the review.

I just want to clarify that Wacom is still a tad bit more better with their technology than UC-logic tablets like Xp-pen and Huion etc. (Excluding driver issues) Their pressure curve and lay down is instantaneous and it feels insanely good and accurate. This is what divides wacom from UC-logic all the time and I honestly I don't recommend buying a wacom because once your experience it it sometimes hard to go back. So stick with Xp-pen and Huion if you are too afraid to keep spending money on wacom.

The M-Version is down to 239€ already for some time now and stays there. For that price its such a great device imho. I can also "not" understand the driver-hate out there. Using my Intuos Draw S for years without any problems and the "new" Wacom Software is wonderful and updated constantly (last update 28th of September 2022). The XENCELABS is 299€ and without the cool wheel and buttons of the Intuos Pro. If you want more buttons for you XENCELABS you need to buy the remote separetely for about 98€ or the bundle for 389€. So for me the Intuos Pro for 239€ is the old and new hero 🙂

@@arturolagos5704 I've been saying this for long time. Thankfully there are other people with common sense out there, too. Also, WAY more sustainable. better buy a high end Wacom Intuos PRO Large (L) (my fav tablet ever) , which is 600 bucks, and get a high end monitor for color accuracy. (meaning just a good nec with good color coverage, an eizo coloredge if one is rich). Even the XP-PEN Deco 03, if want to save some money. or the huion hs610 brad just reviewed. All 3 are great tablets and all what's needed. As a plus, if one gets into jobs, not always is there a cintiq. if can't reach the 600 or 650 for a Wacom L (regular non display tablet), for 100$ you get the XP-PEN Deco 03. It's in Amazon for many countries (the brand's oficial shop, amazon choice, too). One could save the remaing 149 for a basci graphic card (good enough for any painting software that uses gpu acceleration. Or to leave it in the bank, lol. From ten inches wide tablets (regular, non display tablets) of active area, you're good to go for any artwork, imo.

I put a screen protector on it and nib replacement has been virtually null. My only problems with it now going on 7 wonderful years of use, is the size, and the express keys. I almost always accidentally trigger one, cause they're at the top. I was attracted to the Intuos Pro for the express keys on the slide, plus the radial wheel. Would make things so much easier when video editing or editing in Photoshop. Thoughts? I currently have a Intuos Pro M in my amazon cart. With amazon rewards and gift card, it's still $250. @@ahmedsultan9945 Hi Ahmed :) I went with the medium. It's a lot bigger than I had been expecting (it's different to have and hold it in person than just seeing online) but it's so nice. SO nice. The weight, the feel, the *space.* I love the freedom to work on larger projects while simultaneously being able to work very small. I knew instantly by using mine that I would feel really cramped on the small-especially if you're working from your shoulder rather than your wrist and fingers. And I quickly found that having the extra buttons were really helpful. It's also nice to have the larger size for when I eventually get a bigger monitor. With the small, I would've had a less pleasant time on my 13" than I do with my medium, so I can only imagine how irritating things would've been on a larger screen. Oh-and the learning curve for using a pen as a mouse was surprisingly short; it really is superior to using a mouse, imo!

just to add: I will say I wish I had a stand for it, just so I could work from it at varying angles without having to use my other arm or knee or a book (etc lol) so much. This probably would be less of a problem with the small but I think the trade-off is worth it.

Hi, thank you for the video. I am a painter and I decided to digital paint on my PC. I'll paint watercolors, acrylic, and other techniques. I am trying to understand which machine and programming are better for me. Also, I am interested in the prices because I am new but I won't t buy a machine always. I also, find these two items too. "Wacom Cintiq 16 FHD 8192 level 5080 DTK1660 ( k0b) Wacom One 13 Pen Display FHD 4096 level Grafik Tablet (DTC133). I do not which one is good for me. Those are not affordable for me. But I would like to paint digitally and I would like to paint anytime and anywhere. I search iPad also. I don't know which options are good, Ipad or both. If you can respond I will be happy.

Does it needs a USB Bluetooth adaptor connected to the computer to work wirelessly as the older versions. That’s annoying to use the older Wacom Intuos Pro wirelessly on a new MacBook Pro that only has USB-C ports and having to connect the Wacom Bluetooth USB adaptor to a USB-A Female to USB-C Male adaptor in order to use the wireless feature. The provided USB cable is USB-Mini to USB-A as the older ones too?

There is something that i can´t fix sense intuos pro from 2017 came out about the bluetooth connection, specially with macs there are a lot of interference from radio signal and there are a horrible lag on pen input, i need to disconnect the magic mouse, and magic trackpad in order to reduce the lag, have you ever have the same problem with this new intuos pro generation? i miss the old dongle from past models.

After almost 10 years of using wacom products the reasons in comparition to huion or other tablests are: Driver updates for many years, premium materials, pen accuracy imput, accesory ecosistem from wacom, but specialy driver compatibility with the biggest creative software, photoshop, clipstudio, corelpainter, maya, sketchbook pro, etc...

Animator here wanting to go pro with my next tablet- the intuos pro. BUT I cant for the life of me decide if I need a Medium or a Small. Perhaps someone could help decide? Heres some info that might help. I draw small in A5 sketchbooks most comfortably. Getting smooth, controlled linework is tricky for me. Im used to the huion kamvas 13. Even though I used the screen of the kamvas 13, I got annoyed at the inaccurate colours and setting it right. After turning it off i noticed that I work well without the screen and its better for my back anyways. My first tablet is a wacom intuos pen n touch small. For my desk and arm space I highly prefer that over the kamvas 13 which is too big. Ive allready locked onto the pro for its multitouch, bluetooth and button placement. Neither the small wacom or the big huion both seem to be a comfortable size. I want something inbetween. Any tips are appreciated!

For intuos i like the small for quick sketches. Medium is good for fine art but if you make sketches trying to use only your wrist you're gonna have a bad time. That said same for the cintiqs. 16inch pretty cool. 24inch also cool but you better have some arm muscle and not be a lazy sloth like me 🙂
