My luminous shakti 150 ah battery level drops a bit every month and my use is also not that much. I use it to run max 100 watt load for near about 20 hours in a month. Is dropping water level every month is ok or is their's something bad?

Hi Veer, It is a normal phenomenon so nothing to worry, but you can still get your battery checked from an expert, once for complete surety.

Hi Rocky, It will not affect the battery but In case of any accidental contact with the mains wire can cause electric shock, it is recommended to use plastic containers & rubber gloves while filling the distilled water in the battery.

Hi Sudip, this might be happening because of the extra water inside the battery, which is not recommended. We suggest you to take help from an expert and reduce the water level of the battery.

In our inverter the 3 cells are low in distilled water and the remaining 3 are high in distilled water... should we wait for the other 3 levels to come down for refilling ?

No, Don't wait. You should immediately fill the cells with low water as a completely dry cell may damage the battery life and performance.

Hi Sumant, we do not recommend you to use normal tap water for refilling, as normal tap water contains hard minerals which is not good for battery life. We suggest you to always use distilled water to top up the battery. Do let us know if you have any further queries.

1) Can we use cold boiled water (after boiling when water becomes cold) for refilling? 2) After refilling water is full now in battery but the water levellers are not coming upward to the green circles they are still at the red circles.

1) No, boiled water cannot be used to refill a lead-acid battery as it will reduce the battery life, only distilled water should be used for refilling purposes 2) Level indicators may have malfunctioned, please contact an authorised Luminous dealership and install new indicators

They are available for purchase in offline stores in various supermarkets and also available online on portals like Amazon and Flipkart

Don't buy Luminous battery . My 200 AH battery damaged only in 23 months . They are not giving warranty as they provide only for 18 months out of 36 month warranty period . BIG LOSS OF MONEY . Before I used Exide and Amaron . Got good service for 6 to 7 years . Will never buy Luminous again in life .
