This video is about getting an investor visa for Brazil. There are various visas you can get which include student visa, work visa, marriage visa, retirement visa. I will do further videos about the other visa but this video will focus on the investor visa.

Just a tip for anyone that *does* want a mortgage from a foreign country, Japan is the easiest country to get a loan from for a Brazilian property from what I understand. I do not know about the details or if it is possible in practice, but that is what I have heard.

Did you know any portuguese before relocating? I am interested in moving to Brazil but I only know english and spanish…

Yes I took Portuguese lessons for over a year before moving to Brazil. If you know Spanish it will be a lot easier for you than it was for me!

You cannot take out a mortgage in Brazil. It needs to be cash from overseas.

Does being granted an investor visa truly mean one can stay in Brazil permanently or, like in Mexico, even if you get a permanent visa, you can only remain in the country if you have a valid passport from another country? TY for all the info you share about Brazil.

Hi, yes you need to have a valid passport from another country in addition to a permanent visa in order to live in Brazil. You can apply for a Brazilian passport once you have lived in Brazil for more than 4 years.

The North area includes these states Região Norte: Amazonas, Pará, Roraima, Amapá, Rondônia, Acre e Tocantins. Região Nordeste: Piauí, Maranhão, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Ceará, Bahia, Alagoas e Sergipe.
