@@scrawlerms6336 it ends on 13 but they reordered a lot of events so it covers 23 issues. All the stuff with Robot making himself a Rex clone, the Martian parasite things, DA Sinclair making those human cyborgs, and a lot of others don't happen until after Omni-man leaves Earth in the comics

That part made me sad because Mark actually doesn't know his father. For 17 years of his life his dad was this cool, loving and encouraging American dad who took him to baseball games and went traveling with him. When in reality his dad is a murderous alien soldier who's been enslaving and eradicating other civilization for thousands of years.

You are spot on bruh... When the viltrumites saw with a kid and didn't take over the earth he will be branded WEAK and executed and probably his family to... So, when Mark got his powers it complicates things... He won't be back on Earth in a very long time but Mark will see him soon in an another planet... Sorry for the spoils

Also, I don’t get why people expect Mark to defeat Omni man. Nolan said it himself, they get stronger the older they get and Nolan is old ash. Omni man isn’t just way more stronger, faster, more durable, but he has WAY more experience. Omni man is too much for Mark at that point.

If you go back and look his costume has always been slightly muted. The red is just pale enough for blood to stand out against it even in episode one.

There actually was a subway scene in the comics, but it was more of Omni Man slamming Mark into the ground and just happened to run into the side of it, thus derailing it. But this show took that scene to another level.

Well KIRKMAN said that he will have a slight changes in this because he felt that he is a better writer now... And yeah he is!

@@gilgalad6948 yeah like going through through the series again after Omni Man's motivation was revealed, you pick up on some of the forshadowing throughout the show (like not reacting positively once Mark got his powers, "Earth isn't yours to conquer", etc.). I also don't really understand how (in the comics) Mark didn't even try to look for Rick, his friend, when he went missing for like 1.5-2 months. I think one part they kinda dropped the ball on was Amber. Sure she is much more of a character here who makes her own decisions, but then episode 7 happens.

For those who are eager to know here is the spoiler: A virus that was created to kill viltrumites wiped out almost all of them leaving only like 50. So ye nolan came to earth due to humans having such a similar DNA to viltrumites for seeing if they can use this planet to make the viltrumite empire as powerful as they were before.

........spoilers.... actually the REAL mission hasn't even been said yet. The mission Nolan mentioned was the original mission that Viltrumites would have, back at the height of the Empire. The REAL mission Nolan was sent on this time was finding planets suitable to be Viltrumite Breeding Camps, because their species is nearly extinct, after a desperate enemy unleashed Viltrumite Super AIDS on them and wiped out 99.9% of the population (which was already still pretty small after they'd culled over half their population during the Battle Royale). The infiltrators would come to a planet, have children, and see if those children would develop Viltrumite powers and not have any other obvious downsides or deformities. If they didn't then, it was a lower priority conquest. If they DID develop powers, it becomes a high priority conquest.

He actually needs Mark (why do people think Viltrumites have so many children? to conquer more planets and put at top of those some sort of ambassador) he is probably the one who could rule/control Earth, while Omniman goes around conquering planets and let's say he really would have killed Mark, he couldn't possibly make another kid because his people would have called him a failure and instead would have eliminated him. I don't think Viltrumites give second chances, but I could be wrong. Yes, maybe he doesn't need Mark to conquer Earth, but to keep it in check probably when he will be gone for some time.(or at least that's what I think...) Anyway that won't happen since Mark is a good guy, so Omniman is acting petty, saying that he doesn't need him anymore because he just discovered that his kid doesn't function how he wants.
