Mark really gave off some Omni-Man vibes with that backhand. He just smacks his jaw out of place without even saying anything, just stood there and let him come closer until he turned around. I love how they show that he really fucked up his jaw bad in later scenes, too.
Could not agree more. This was the moment Invincible channeled his father. I love the “I’m sorry, just lost it.” And how he reassures him that almost anyone would have done what Invincible did. Fantastic writing and that jaw punch was savage af!
Man isn't just a psycho, he's an idiot. There are enough terminally ill, paralyzed or even just old people, who would go through with this procedure and even pay for it.
No Sinclair wants to build perfect humans so he chooses his victims with due diligence. Have you noticed that those cyborgs are converted from young, healthy men? For Sinclair, cyborgs are works of art that must be performed on the best “ingredients”, kind of like sushi chefs choosing the best quality fish.
@@maxliu2090 this isnt me arguing with you, I congratulate your knowledge, but Sinclair is a fool and a coward. Taking the easy way by enhancing the strong, when a real artisan could turn the weak into god's. Strength alone isn't evolution, mammoths were rendered extinct by humanity despite their strength. These supposedly emotionless drones cannot advance humanity. If he cannot advance without taking away, then he should walk off a cliff before calling himself an artist.

I'd say Cecil actually likes Mark, but there is no way he's letting go of any tech that might let them even the playing field re: Omniman. That sick prick is going to be locked up forever... and put to work developing his tech.
Same way that the US and Soviet governments both recruited former Axis power scientists following WW2. The same people who built rockets with slave labour, who had guards raping female prisoners to study STDs, who tested explosives, firearms and bio/chemical weapons on Chinese civilians and Allied POWs. Absolutely sick, degenerate psychopaths whose 'research' was considered too invaluable to waste on a hangman's noose.

So you guys know. My cousin fractured his jaw bone, to heal rom it he needed multiple surgeries. Through the entire healing time he felt all the pain centered on his jaw. Titanium cables held his jaw in place in order for it to fuze and heal. all he could eat was liquified or blended food. a good 4 months of this. Invincible didn't just shut him up good... this inhumane jerk will remember and live months of pain
"Oh, that's a tad personal." Says the guy who's been drugging and abducting random young men, dragging them to a creepy lair in a sewer, and horrifically mutilating them and giving them freakish robotic body modifications in a crazed "quest" to eliminate humanity's "weaknesses"
Every invincible know it all: WELL ACTUALLY, HE HUNTED DOWN MEN THAT WERE PHYSICALLY SUPERIOR TO MOST OTHER PEOPLE. SO SAYING HE HUNTED RANDOM PEOPLE IS ENTIRELY FALSE!!! But actually though, what he did actually WAS pretty messed up...
stop it with the referances im tired of seeing them, everywhere i go i see them just stoooooop, it's like the motherfucking among us (amogus) referances i HATE THEM IM TIRED
They changed up alot of stuff, just like the walking dead certain characters are getting more limelight than the comics to not only keep comic readers interested but also add more compelling stories if possible
Honestly it would be way cringe for him to be trying to hide it in today’s age. Like oooooh you’re gayyy yeah so’s my brother and two cousins, who gives af. At least the “reimagining” nailed it there. It’s 2021, no one cares if you’re gay like they did in the early 2000s and hot damn was his delivery funny af lmao
While that beating was amazingly satisfying, part of me just can't grasp Sinclair not trying to cover his face with his arms. Like, I know he's no MMA fighter, but you'd think that's something ANYONE would do. Got punched in the face? Cover up the face to not get punched again! How much can a person suck to just lay there, arms wide open while a teenage kid beats your face in?

Well looking at the show finale it is actually cool how Cecil is giving slight hints at how he will put Sinclair to work… 1) he notes what Sinclair achieved with mediocre equipment and in a sewer. Later he develops more advanced reanimen with state of the art GDI tech and mass produced them in a dedicated lab! 2) he recognizes how much the cyborgs mess mark up and sees the potential value as anti-viltrumite weaponry. Later the cyborgs were used rather successfully to stall Omni-man! Actually he gets his Dr. title in the comics
Same treatment as the Kaiju. When Donald told Cecil that he's never seen Omni Man on the ropes and that it might not be dead, Cecil says to put her on ice
Curious if Rick could potentially become a hero himself now that he's cybernetically enhanced but recovered his humanity. Sort of a RoboCop like character, he can hold his own in a fight with someone like Mark.
@@someoneelse3456 he literally fought and broke free of his programming, still had memories, and still had feelings for those close to him in this episode. It's not much but it's enough
Guy's been through enough trauma and would probably need years of psychological therapy to reconstruct what's left of his mind. Maybe eventually he could become a hero, but first he needs to learn how to be human again.
And considering the usage in bringing back fallen soldiers to serve one last time. It would be useful, as long as the person being turned would have to go through some serious agreement sessions on the matter because it’s very morbid and inhuman.
@@infinityheart_tm9270 luckily there only using it on the deceased, not on living people. With the former, all they have to do is sing consent forms to use their bodes for the experiments.
@@lochness5524 Sinclair uses it on the living, but yeah. After that, Cecil says that he used corpses: “Dead soldiers serving their country for one last time.”
Actually he does have a point though about saving the human race. (Although misguided) Seeing there there in a world with a murderous superman running about, its probably a good time for humans to adapt.
Messed up part, in a way Sinclair is right. With the Viltrumites planning to conquer the planet, Humanity needs every advantage they can get and sadly his robot humans are one of the best options we have. Though using already dead bodies instead of living ones certainly makes things more palatable.
You really have no fucking idea what’s comin do ya. The viltrumite aren’t coming to conquer Earth, well one is but that is in a much later period. If you know the comics, then you know the future.

Good question... But from my guess aside from the evil scientist trope, he seems to wants to test his modifications to others first to perfect them. He did said he made improvements.
@@trollmaster4523 not to mention he wouldn’t be any good continuing his experiments if he ended up getting himself killed, just as Justin Roilands character did
This comment is dumb af, who knows if it would even work, how could he even pull it off? The better question is, why wouldn't he target old/ sickly people. They would probably want this surgery. Even if they refuse when they see that he's just one dude doing it, he can just knock them out, they're most likely too weak to resist.
He thinks(fairly) that his individual value as a person due to his intelligence is worth more, him dying from perfecting the practice means that humanity is set back decades, while testing it on the people he did had no long term impact.

@@Tori5527 yeah so idk if it’s just me, but invincible kinda seems underpowered to me. I get it, he’s a kid and he just got his powers, but you would think he would resemble Omni-man. Heck, Omni-Man wiped out the GUARDIANS. And here you have invincible.. battle beast I can understand... but come on. These human robots are stronger than invincible? And I don’t think it was his confidence. Nothing in the episode suggested that he was shaken after his fight and he was too scared to fight. And plus, his friends were in danger which suggests that he was clearly trying and going all out.
@@Tori5527 and I haven’t seen the comics, not looking for any spoilers from anyone lol, but invincible doesn’t even seem all that anymore. At first, he was kind of put in the show as a character who was kind of superior to every other hero, besides Omni-Man. But with this new episode, atom eve seems way stronger than him. Invincible has flight, strength, speed, durability, but tbh that’s it. Atom eve can fly and she can pretty much make whatever she wants. She can even make constructs like green lantern lol
When cecil said hard to believe they gave you a run for your money like that. He wasn’t because he cared. He figured if they gave invincible a hard time. They’d be good against omni man.
I've never read the comics and that sounds really touching. I hope they can do something similar even though the two already know each other and have William help out Rick in his recovery.
@@Gameguy-gk8lx Syke, Rick is dead in the series, maybe the writers felt Will dating Robocop is too painful for him, or his subplot ultimately goes nowhere
@@ultimatespideyphantom3387 he wasn't, the show just does a poor job sometimes with inconsistent power levels. You can't make any reasonable argument for Mark holding back in this scene.
@@andrewgarfield9898 I was referring to when he was fighting the reanimen. I assume the original poster was thinking the same thing, because otherwise why the fuck should we care that he held back against a normal human and ripped his jaw off?
See, this is the only part I don't like about the show vs the comics: they make Mark appear too weak/inconsistent power levels. In the comics, Mark trashed these guys without much trouble. Bear in mind, in the episode before this, we saw Mark stopping a small meteor in its tracks. Now he struggles against cyborgs built in a sewer? Nolan and BB sure, but this is a bit much. BB, in the comics, even commends Mark, saying "you might well be the strongest being on this planet...but I am not of this planet". In the show, he just sh*t talks him and kicks his ass. From eps 5, 6 and 8, Mark gets the stuffing beaten out of him. Gets tired after a while when every single new enemy starts doing it.
I think one reason that could explain him struggling was he did just get destroyed by battle beast in the previous episode and wasn’t up to full strength. Idk tho just a thought
@@Shrimpfriedpee I won't spoil much, but that 'cat man' is an intergalactic warlord and one of the strongest characters in the series. No shame losing to him.
I agree. He is far from invincible. I was thinking the same thing when i watched theclip. His body alone split a subway in half killing hundreds and he left without a dent but now he cant fight cyborgs.
