Invisible Man - Carmen Sandiego (2019) 

I saw the whole series and I really liked it

I honestly think that they should reboot where in time is Carmen Sandiego.

I remember watching the two game shows on PBS when I was a kid. They were made back when game shows made for kids were some of the most creative shit you would ever see. Never saw the "Where on Earth" cartoon, though, and I've only played one of the later Carmen Sandiego games on the PC (I think it was released around '98 or '99). It was the one where you as the player faced off against these robots who, after a mini-game, would ask trivia questions based on certain categories (i.e. geography, literature, etc.), and after completing it, you had to play a hangman-style game to catch the crook. As for the Netflix show, it's nice that it puts a twist on the formula by having Carmen as the protagonist instead of the antagonist. I might give it a watch for nostalgia's sake. Umm Good Review?

I dislike the "good guy" Carmen. It's just not her character. In any games or TV adaption she ranged from cat burglar you needed to catch, to evil villain. Putting this frankly stupid subplot of Vile being the evil villains who Carmen fights while being chased by "good guys" who don't know she's a good guy too is bad. Awful even. Maybe she's just a thief. Maybe she's the evil villain. Maybe she's somewhere in-between. Anything she is not is the good guy. That's not to say the show itself is bad. However it does what many bad adaptations do. It takes a pre-established character and changes key aspects of said character. This is one of a few examples of, would be great if it wasn't "insert brand name here or established series here." The show is good, but it fails as an adaptation.
