The actor for Bruce Lee is Danny Chan. He nailed his role as Bruce Lee including his fighting style and mannerisms. 😃🙏
idk if y’all know the context of this fight, but this is one of my favorite films ever, so let me explain: the setting is china in the late 1930s, after the japanese invaded. ip man was extremely wealthy before the invasion, and he went from living in luxury to literally not being able to feed his family because the japanese seized control of everything he owned (they actually made one of their bases in his former home, which is where this fight took place). the day before this fight, one of ip’s closest friends, a young man named lin (the one he asked about) was ruthlessly beaten to death by general miura (the one who spoke to ip after the fight), and just prior to this fight ip had witnessed one of his closest friends, master liu, get shot in the head and killed (which is where the bloody bag of rice comes from) despite the fact that liu honorably won a fight. you were correct, this fight was intensely personal and emotional; he wasn’t just fighting for the sake of doing it, or to try and prove anything, but he was defending the honor of his fallen friends and his country as a whole, a sentiment that’s reflected again later in the film during ip’s 1v1 fight with general miura. absolutely phenomenal choreography in this entire franchise, but the fights in this film carry an especially heavy weight with them, and that’s in no small part thanks to donnie yen’s incredible acting; speaking of him, gotta give credit where it’s due, because he was 45 years old when he filmed this, and he could definitely give guys half his age a run for their money, on screen or off screen.

I believe that because Some people just think that what these action movie starts do on screen they can’t do it in real life uh better guess again if they been training all there life and there discipline in it then my friend you have no chance because they know how to get you outta there within seconds lol
A little backstory. This happened during WW2 in Europe, and the Pacific War in Asia. The Japanese Imperial army did unspeakable things to its neighboring countries, especially towards the Chinese. (Rape of Nanking, 721 Unit etc. Think of them as the Germans in Asia, and the Chinese were Jewish) At one occasion, it got so bad even the Nazi diplomats in China started helping and hiding the locals (Imagine having the Nazi step in simple because even they cannot tolerate how brutal and barbaric the Japanese were towards Chinese) So yea tensions has been high even till today (Unlike the Germans, the Japanese government never apologized for its atrocities and continue to omit them from their history teachings.) Before this fight, there was another master who was engaging the black belts. Rule was one bag of rice if you beat one, dude had to feed his family so after beating one, he tried taking on three more for more rice, and he lost. After surrendering, he walked towards that first bag of rice that he won, only to be shot down by the 4-eyes general (Hence the blood on it) Ip Man, who was there for the same reason, saw the whole thing and got very angry since that master was a known friend.
