I ordered the blue one and pick it up tomorrow morning. I went with the 64GB model since I don't do video editing and I stream my music library from my PC. I will be using it to draw, FaceTime with my kids, watch television and RU-vid videos, and play some games. I currently have a 32GB 5th Gen iPad and doing everything I do I still have about 10GB of space left. Looking forward to picking it up.
Hey man!! I just did my first RU-vid video. It was a unboxing on this iPad Air (same color). I got the pro 2020 as well. Going to do a review on its camera and things next.
I’m really tempted to order one over the iPad Pro and the iPad 8 but the colors are just disappointing, I expected more of an iPhone 12/12 Pro blue color
Anyone looking to buy this should also consider 2018 iPad Pro. Many retailers still sell it and you should be able to get one new for same price as Air. Just a thought
I think the new air would be perfect for my wife, she’s still using I think the second generation iPad so she could really use an upgrade. I have a pro that I got a couple years ago and love it, and she likes it but feels she doesn’t need something exactly like the pro
i have the ipad air 2,i’m upgrading to the ipad air 4 and it’s coming on december the 2nd. Honestly this ipad seems good and it’s basically a pro,but better in some places but not as good in some places.
The iPad Air is not cheap lol mine cost $879 lte 256gb. RU-vidrs put things in two categories. Low end and high end with no mid end. They don’t categorize it properly. Imo iPad 8th gen is for casual users, the iPad Air is for the hobbyist and the iPad Pro is for the professionals.
Not necessarily. I'm a university student studying BA game art and I have the Air 4, I also use Adobe Cloud for all of my photoshop creations for the low storage isn't really that big of a deal to me. Its paired with the 2nd Gen Pencil and the Magic Keyboard and seeing as we don't even use word for our Case Studies (we use pebblepad), I barely use the storage on it. It's practically replaced my laptop but I still use my desktop for Maya and other 3D modelling softwares
@@vladboboriko8914 ye I recommend it my friend has it runs games pretty well has an apple pencil 2nd generation worth it but if u wanna save money get iPad air 3 it's a bit less stronger but runs game well just like this one
Its so crazy that all this technology & usability can fit in something so small. Where will our civilization go next?! I know where Ill be, off to play angry birds hehehe
Love mine and I had purchased through Walmart and well either FedEx or Walmart screwed up the tracking number and on first one sent out so couldn’t track well Walmart sent out replacement and I asked what do I do if both show up.Was told to keep both!Well both IPad Air 4 rose gold 256gb showed woohoo!Only opened one and thinking of selling the other one,but more than likely will keep and or gift it at Xmas.
The question I’m asking myself is do I upgrade my 2017 baseline 13” MacBook Pro with an unusable damaged screen to an A14 MacBook Air or do I swap my iPad Air 2 (2014) for the iPad Air 2020? I imagine the Apple Silicon MacBook Air will be very similar to the iPad Air, it’ll run many of the same apps and games, it’ll probably be just as powerful and battery efficient too. I’d love to see a comparison between the two when it’s released.
i have a feeling that there will be a new ipad mini (12 mini) and ipad pros (12 pro/max) on March keynote. just like the choices we have on the iphone 12 lineup only this time the iPad Air 2020 (iPhone 12) counterpart came first.
What video was that @2:51 Please tell thank you. Also thank you for this I’m switching to the air because I just bought the Apple iPad and I don’t like it.
Unfortunately this is a hard pass for me. I wanted a laptop replacement and 64GB isn’t going to cut it, plus I prefer FaceID, so I will save up for the pro (next years version as the rumors point to an upgraded model in March).
The transfer speed from my IPad Air 4 is crazy slow it took more than an hour to transfer 1GB of video from my iPad to external drive (USB 3.1), but transferring from the external drive to iPad is extremely fast it took only a few seconds, anyone with similar problem?
So, does the iPad Air 4 support 10Gbps or just 5Gbps or even slower transfer speeds? Trying to decide which SSD external storage to buy. Just can't find this information anywhere. Thanks.

ipad Air pricing is pretty f'ed up. The $599 iPad Air only gives you 64gb of storage, and no one wants 64gb. So Apple is kind of forcing you to upgrade; however, the next level up is not 128gb but 256gb, and for this they'll charge you $759. But wait, if you pay $50 more, you'll get iPad pro with 128gb (which is enough) with large screen, higher refresh rate (128hz), and better camera. Apple is doing this type of trick pricing with iphone too, where the basic model has low storage and you're forced to upgrade, then a pro version is just $50-$100 more expensive. I find it pretty dishonest on Apple to do this type sht pricing scheme
Is it better to get the 64GB version or the 256GB version? I’m only going to use it for videos and drawing on it and maybe for a bit of school work (if I end up going to university in the near future. Which I probably won’t) so would it be better to get the 64GB or the 256GB?
Depends on what you prefer: smaller display, or bigger display. Plus it’s possible the iPad mini won’t be released until spring 2021 (though this isn’t confirmed)
For me still using Apple Air 2 and it does everything I need it to do. The other thing is I am not going to purchase ANY NEW Apple products until they include USB4 standard port, and would like if it supported all the options. NOTE: New M1 Mac's looking at the specs false advertising USB 4 ports. First of all it is named USB4 by the standard. USB4 Two-lane operation using existing USB Type-C cables and up to 40 Gbps operation over 40 Gbps certified cables. Backward compatibility with USB 3.2, USB 2.0. By looking at Apple website the so called USB 4 ports are only Thunderbolt 3, and USB 3.1 Gen 2 so I call BS. Should I be happy that unlike the past when Apple use to push NEW port technology before it came out on PC? PC Guy John Hodgman should be happy....
