Option #1: 1. Open new note file, then scan a document to be filled in, and save; 2. Open that document, go to upper right corner of screen, and the square with up arrow, and go down to “Markup”; 3. then to upper right corner is a square with 3 dots and press; It will then highlight all the open spaces to be filled in; touch each space and type; 4. Save is an issue: Option #2 Fill out forms and add signatures 1. Tap the file to open the document.
If prompted, open the document in the Files app 2. 3. , then tap Save. 4. Tap 5. 6. , then tap a blank field to enter text using the onscreen keyboard. 7. To fill out another field, tap it, then enter text. 8. To add additional text or add your signature, tap 9. 10. , then do one of the following: * Add text: Tap Add Text Form Box, drag the text box where you want it on the form, then enter text using the onscreen keyboard. * Add your signature: Tap Add Signature, sign your name with your finger or Apple Pencil, then tap Done. Drag your signature where you want it to appear on the document. 11. When you’re done, tap 12. 13. to share the completed document using Mail, Messages, or AirDrop. 14. Tap Done to close the document. Export a note as a PDF You can create a PDF of a note, using the note’s current view settings for its attachments. MULTIPAGE: In a note with a multipage PDF or scanned document, the exported PDF contains only the first page of the original PDF or scanned document. 1. Open the note, tap 2. 3. , then tap Markup. 4. Mark up the pages in the exported PDF as needed, then tap Done to save the PDF.

I'm not Rich, but if that's all you do, I think an iPad would be more than enough. The iMac has the advantage of having a much larger screen. So I suppose it comes down to screen size.

It is too bad. That would bring a whole new level of functionality. When I discovered you couldn't make the change, I was like Apple?

You can turn those beautiful wilderness photos into a home screen if you'd find that helpful. And you're right - iPads don't change lives. They're a tool. But for many, likely 94 yr old mom, they're a window into things she might not otherwise see. Thanks for watching.
