thanks for the timestamp I stayed from there and found the results for the 2nd coming iPhone SE, 3 hours and 59 minutes in that battery test. I do believe it is their method to decrease the *massive* environmental footprint the production of batteries creates. The making of these Lithium-Ion batteries requires sulphuric acid, the production of which is not very... *clean.* So-the smaller the battery, the less sulphuric acid is needed. I know the margin of change is minimal, but to be able to still retain this great battery performance of six hours, with a more powerful chipset and *less* battery, is a very futuristic approach!

It's just that in a world that does only care about specs that are speed-related saying how big the battery is is generally not a smart idea, because you want to present your product as the best, fastest and funnier one. That's why they usually talk a lot about the chip's speed and photography but not about battery and their competition (and when they do they call them just "competition" or name their colour).

@@amaljoe367 but that's not actual real life usage. Battery life for daily use in 4G and WiFi may well similar to the 11s, maybe a Bit worse but not that much. That's because the A14 ist faster with the same max power draw and the processor gets earlier in a low power state.

Personally battery life is probably the most important feature. The camera upgrades are hardly noticeable unless you have the pictures right next to each other and you zoom in, the processor speed upgrades are not noticeable at all unless you are doing video editing on your phone (I never have done that and never have met someone that does that) But I will notice 30 more minutes screen on time.

Chips are not a limiting factor anymore. Camera and battery are the most important to me and I couldn’t be happier with it on the pro max. Ending the day with 40-50% on heavy usage.

The battery and manufacturing supply issues is exactly why it wasn’t implemented. 120hz made it so far into testing that it was still in the prototype units till right before mass production

Moreso its the fact people don't understand the a14 consumes less power, same with their new displays, and software/systems that utilize and push power WHEN you need it. They also did say they wanted slimmer devices, hard to accomplish without minimizing battery after adding 5g components.

Using the iPhone 14 pro currently. It honestly when I owned the iPhone XR, it gave me the best battery life. (I thought my 6s Plus had good battery life) I could do a 16 hr shift at work and still go home with 6% to 10% before charging. My iPhone 11 didn’t even last that long. My 14 pro is even worse as it’s at 90% health and it’s been one year since launch.

Still surviving with my 7 plus , it’s an ancient phone but I do love it , it just gets me through the day with the battery but I still love it , getting an 11 pro max next week and I can’t wait , definitely a good phone to upgrade to , but the 7 plus is where it all kind of changed for apple in my opinion , one of the best phones ever made
