Apple ran a series of billboard ads featuring pictures from a phone. On a billboard, viewed hundreds of meters away, the pixels can be the size of a dinner plate and still look good. So, not a surprise that when a pic from a phone is printed and viewed from a reasonable distance it looks just fine.

Firstly, my buddy from high school started On1. I use On1 Raw for my edits. Fun fact - the On1 name comes from his days as a high school quarterback. This is my first time viewing your content. I first watched the video where you took the photos and compared and then was curious about how they looked printed. Both videos are very interesting and well done and your presentation and speaking abilities are excellent. I also like how you discuss real life applications for non-expert photographers. People can talk about image quality all day long with pixel peeping but like you said, most people that view or purchase photos aren't pixel peeping. Got go watch some more of your content. MOAR printing videos please! Would love to see a video where you demonstrate how large of a print can be made from a non-upscaled image between the same two pieces of technology
Amazing video, would you consider an iphone 14 pro comparison when it comes out since it will be 48MP? would be interesting to see it's print outs and compare them to professional quality!

Good video, Alex. I’ve had some of my Southern Utah photos I took with Samsung Galaxy phones printed at 16x20 and 20x30 at my local print shop, I was truly amazed at the quality! Now that I’ve learned how to take much better photos with the Canon since then, now I’d use that over the phone.

I am trying to decide if i should invest in a good Camera for my trip to Alaska or if i can take landscapes with my phone. @ Alex Schiffty Armitage : If you can get your hands on a S22 Ultra [ At Least a 256GB SNAPDRAGON version ( So that you have 12 GB of Ram on the phone ) , The Snapdragon version takes the best photographs - DON'T use the exynos version of the S22 Ultra ] AND DO THE SAME / SIMILAR CAMERA TESTS AND PRINTING with the S22 Ultra that you have done with the iPhone 13 Pro ... Would be very interesting to see the comparisons ! JAH BLESS ...
don't even compare to R5..... see my videos with canon t2i (12 year old camera) .... all videos taken about a year ago were from t2i. videos taken the last 6 months were from apple iphone 13 pro max 6.7
