Finally someone who did a proper battery test! For the last 3 weeks, it has felt like I was watching the videos over and over again because everyone makes the same battery test videos. Not a single person compared both together doing the same thing and I hate separate “14/14pro for a day” and the conclusions being “14 is better” or “14 pro did much better”. So thank you Max Tech! This was an awesome way to do a battery comparison. I haven’t had any issues with battery life on my 14 pro max I still don’t get what the deal is with that. I think there’s a bug somewhere in iOS 16 that’s only affecting some users. I setup my phone fresh and didn’t use a back up and I average 9-12 hrs of SOT that’s throughout the entire day and using LTE and Wi-Fi.

I started at 90 today and I had run out at 4 pm… idk why tho most of the time I was gaming which I understand but still I wasn’t on it all those hours probably 1 hour, but I will say that’s a one time thing normally I end with 20 battery by the end of the day

Because you maybe doing lighter tasks try playing genshin impact on ultra settings or try recording 4k cinematic videos it will drain a lot faster.

That's useful! Because yes, real life testing is what we use, we don't stay 10h straight with our phone in our hands swiping. There's standby, dark rooms, bright outdoors, commuting, background synchronizations, cell towers to connect to, and yes, all of these matter.

Honestly I got the 14 plus on a carrier deal and the battery is super good never used the pro max so idk what that battery is awesome I’m a fire fighter I’ve literally been able to stop bringing a charger on a 24. I like to see the real world comparison but speaking as a user the battery life is killer on my plus and I still think it’s 100% worth saving the 200$ unless you absolutely need or want the features of the pro max

What I noticed through your video for sure is that 14 Pro always have less bars of cellular signal than a regular 14 Plus. If this is the cost of 1 hour less work time for 14 Plus, I think it is great. Better signal strength on 14 Plus looks to me an odd choice by Apple.

I have got over 9hr screen time with more than 25% remaining on 14 plus.. Bluetooth always on and connected to Apple Watch. Mobile Data and WiFi always on. Dark mode with Auto brightness on. This is during weekend. And during weekdays I get 4hrs of screen time with 60% battery remaining and mobile data is used for browsing. 14 plus is a battery king..

I like your test because it is like normal people would use their phone, but an hour isn’t much of a difference to me so that’s helpful to know. It’s been more than 2 days and I’ve used my phone to watch videos, social media, a few pix etc, no shoot video and only plugged it in when I run errands to listen to music and it’s just now at 12%. I have the 14 plus. I had the 13 before and it had terrible battery life. The last large phone I had was the last plus phone they made. I don’t remember which one that was so I’m glad they brought it back and I like the color options and lighter feel.

Agreed! I get stellar standby battery life, after full charge stays on 100% for hours after removing from charger. Thi s morning it stayed on 100% for 9 hours before dropping to 99%. That's literally use mostly standy!

What a good battery test, all other tests on youtube, they just place the phone inside a room, playing youtube, games for most of the time, the most important thing that effects on battery is temperature, which only has when using the phone outside or under sunlight, not inside a room with an AC. Great test! I don’t really pay attention to claims and benchmarks anymore as they’re all skewed to show what the company wants you to know, whether it’s apple, Samsung, google, etc. I really don’t consider this a failure for the 14 plus though are we really going to sit there and complain that the pro max still had 5% battery left when the plus died? The phone lasted practically the same amount in real world application and it’s a few hundred dollars cheaper
