I recently did a less scientific test between my iPhone 13 Pro and my new iPhone 15 Pro Max. I was at one of the local ski fields a couple of weeks ago and could barely get any connection with my iPhone 13 Pro, meanwhile, my girlfriend could get plenty of internet with her much older Galaxy Note 10+. Now that I have upgraded to the 15 Pro Max, my girlfriend has started using my old iPhone 13 Pro. We were up at the ski field again on the weekend, sitting at the cafe in the same spot as before and I was able to get reliable internet with my iPhone 15 Pro Max but she was really struggling to get things to load on the iPhone 13 Pro. I think the 13 Pro has a really crap radio/reception because I have been plagued with reception problems on that phone when I am away from built-up areas meanwhile my girlfriend's Note 10+ always ran fine. It was always very frustrating and now it has basically been confirmed that it's the 13 Pro. It's not a scientific test since it was weeks apart but its damning enough for me and it aligns with my experience that the 13 Pro reception is just terrible. Maybe I should just get a Samsung! Haha.
Thanks for sharing, would be interesting to see whether there‘s difference between Pro and Pro Max of the same year What‘s the app called that you used to display the signal strength info?
It’s the field test mode on the iPhone. It never lets me type the full code in RU-vid comments for some reason, but you type a code into your dialer to access it. Do a google search for field test mode iPhone and you’ll see the code. Thanks!
So, little info here, you can’t test them at the same time because they will share the bandwidth. When one finishes first the other phone will start getting faster and faster as it’s not having to share the bandwidth, Hope this helps in the future for you!
