iPhone 15 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max RAW Photoshoot 

Great video! Always love seeing people push the iPhone cameras and see what’s possible, or anything that’s not a dslr. Like Action cams for example. I love the new DJI action cam and it’s crazy what quality is available in devices other than the traditional, so much so that it’s no longer becoming an issue of having access to something great to shoot on but rather not its equipping ones creative arsenal.

Nice to see you back. And thanks for the short posting referencing shiftscam. I am exploring adding iPhone external lenses. Shiftcam's ultra deluxe kit 'was' high on my list. Now giving more consideration to moment's t series if they ever get back in stock.

Seems like a noticeable improvement in dynamic range too @ 3:01. Though it looks like the 15 shot was taken with the sun lower in the sky which could account for it.

Hello david, can you help me out? I have an iPhone 15 pro max, main reason i got was for photos. But i have no idea how to get the most out of it an get the cinematic look you got. Could you make an iphone photography tutorials and tips please? Also Been thinking about getting a lens that makes that natural bokeh with pro cams but they are too expensive and i could only spend 30 usd on one.

I really enjoy your review and the value of the video. If you ever get a Pixel 8 pro, could you compare the RAW performance between the 8 pro and 15 pro? I think the 8 Pro is the only other smartphone with competitive RAW capabilities

Hi David. When you said “raw” do you mean truly raw or pro raw? I’m asking this because I’m having trouble with raw in telephoto lens using moment app. The problem is: I’m getting a very weird bar of light with a different exposure compared to the rest of the photo and this is only happening in raw using the telephoto lens

Thanks David . I noted that you shot with Reeflex . It is ridiculous that Apple have NOT provided an £1100 piece of kit with their own native camera that can shoot the same . I’m on the 13pro and detest the artificial colours that it presents to me with the native camera app . Went to Apple Store demonstrated and they replaced entire camera module…made not a lot of difference..the problem is I’m the computational processing . The vast vast vast majority of folk who buy the 15pro max will hit the shutter button on the camera app and no more than that. Photoshop Cafe showed a review of it when it saw black as blue. As regards the 5 x optical zoom ..what about if you want to shoot an image that is the 3x zoom focal range …pinch in ? Reduced image quality I’ve had every iPhone from the 1st one but have stopped upgrading at 13pro …I’m so naffed off with Apple algorithm . Yeah yeah can fix in LR …but ridiculous that I have to correct Apple’s mistakes

Funny thing, David - yesterday I went to the local Apple store to take a look at the iPhone 15 ProMax. While I was handling a 15 PM, the sales person saw my iPhone 14 Pro. With that he said, "You don't need a 15, there is so little difference between the one you have and this, you might want to wait for the 16 next year." He tried his best to talk me out of making the purchase. (I didn't, at least not yet.) Fortunately for that sales person, his manager didn't hear him tell me not to buy the 15PM, or I think that sales guy would no longer be working at Apple. Too strange.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max is so bad in low light , I’m mad to have paid that price for this kind of quality
