Well some important were made. But he (Kamran Bokhari) wants to “sell” a certain narrative and also leaves out certain points. First his whole point that Iran instigates all problems through use of proxies is only partiality true. Yes ofcourse Iran projects power through proxies, but so also tried the Gulf states with ISIL AlQaeda etc.. with direct or tacit backing of US. The reality is that they ended on top, in this power game, but it is not that the others didn’t try. Also he is mute on US wars in Iraq and Syria.. which provided open space for the Iranians to act in the first place. Also he talks alot of Saudi/Iran rivalry but doesn’t mention China’s role in getting them into taking terms. Ofcourse that doesn’t solve all issues but it mitigates them a bit. Btw this move of China wasn’t on the radar of any of these so called experts. Similarly with respect to relations between Iran/Pakistan he leaves out the role of India, which is ofcourse a concern from Pakistanis point of view and impacts their decision making. So very much selling from a US perspective in the garb of academics
