Kiwis are humble and respectful. But the Irish have no class. Disrespecting the haka is an Irish and English thing. It's in their genes. In their moral fibre. They are shallow, non spiritual, dishonourable people. No other countries do this. Scotland, Wales, France, Argentina, and South Africa are all honorable nations who's fans understand the significance of this 130 year old halowed rugby tradition, and meet the challenge with honour and respect. I'll never respect Ireland fans.

Ireland got absolutely ambushed, I'm shocked and awed by the display from The All Blacks. Going into this Ireland were cantering along like a V8 purring. no issues or stresses. All Blacks omg Lomax, de Groot, hows Retallick? etc. Today, two Titans came out, what a start. What a reply. 40 minutes = 1 point gap. The hits were comic like, with power runs and monster tackling, mixed with those moments of magic or displays of pure tenacity and a willingness to put everything on the line for their team, their country. Salute!

A cracking game! From an Englishman who’s part Irish I’m really proud of Ireland. Certainly played a lot better then us English would’ve done 😂 got to commend the ABs though their defence was just solid in the 2nd half and they really pounced on the opportunities. They were just too good but I’m bloody proud at the fight Ireland gave and how much they had the ABs on the ropes throughout the match. Sport is cruel especially when you have 2 of the top 4 in the world competing in a knockout so early.

Ireland found themselves in the same spot NZ was in the last RWC--NZ came in as the team to win it all but went down in one of the finals. This game could easily be the grand final IMO. The Irish are a solid side and they deserve better than this. Anyway, congratulations ABs!

The big difference mate was that heading into the 2019 World Cup, the All Blacks were defending champions and had already lifted the cup 3 times. Ireland can't even get past the quarter final stage.

If there was a rematch of that same game a week from now the bookies would still be split down the middle or even still favouring Ireland slightly. The draw for the pools was brutal and there was nothing separating the teams in that game. Either team could have won it. You make AB fans sound stupid saying they "cant even make it past a quarter final". Not all kiwis are gloating fools and most understand that this Irish team were capable of winning this RWC.

Well done AB's. That was not luck - AB's showed up 👏 Loved Savea in this game. Received a lot of hate when Irish fans wanted GOAT status and I said respect the AB's always there is no such thing as a weak AB team ! You had injuries at Twicks and also vs France the team that beat us at Mt Smart is a hell of a good team even at Twicks AB's defence was far more brilliant that people realize Boks were just very very good that day with pressure and cards playing a role. We know that feeling. Congrats on the victory tonight. We hope to get by France (whom we respect - hope it's not a crowd & TMO game with cards?) and hopefully see you in the final. If not well done. As a South African fan I read sir Clive Woodward's comments about the end of the southern hemisphere and a all northern hemisphere semifinal. I could only think that this type of arrogance is the reason the north in my eyes underperformes in world cups. I remember 2015 thinking Argentina, Australia and even South Africa might falter in the quarters but we certainly believed that we could win. However with the exception of the greatest all black team of all time, (also the best team of all time) there was an uncertainty of who would make the semi finals and we approached it as such. Arrogance is always the worst possible approach.

I am not completely sure he said that. I remember he said they the SH nations "should be worried" and made indeed these predictions about semifnals. But, with all due respect, lecturing about arrogance coming from SA, that's a bit rich. Yeah I don't understand the kiwis who are saying this, like they're sucking up to the Irish. I genuinely have been arguing all week with people about how this was NZs game all day, I said it would b quite easy but even with 2 yellows and a penalty try we still won, imagine the score with proper discipline in that ABs team. What a fantastic show and thank you to both teams who were so evenly matched. The phase play on both sides was a show of experience and ability and the final score could have gone either way. One the day NZ took it but Ireland were amazing so theres absolutly nothing to be sad about and there can only be one winner in the end. From a Springbok supporter.

Honestly felt Ireland deserved getting through, they've been played so well in the group games and even in test matches leading up to the cup. But when it came down to it, NZ just played better. For a fan to say Ireland beat themselves fails to acknowledge the AB's were just better on the day. Also Sexton saying they "sucker punched us and we had to earn our tries" wasn't exactly gracious either.

Not true SA vs NZ wins record until 1995 SA 22 NZ 18 SA was until then the most dominant team in rugby history. From 1995 our country went through sport politics and transformational issues ... A lot of disunity at the fore and it affected team selection & cohesion. Rugby public knew we were seeing much bs for a few decades. We wanted more running game and kept getting this post 95 one dimensional stuff.... (We used to run the ball like crazy pre 95) That is when NZ got the upper hand. By a lot. So .... The last 25 years have been AB's. You must respect the legacy and speak truthfully about it. Well done AB's on a brilliant win vs Ireland. I watched it in a pub in Netherlands. I had a bad feeling before the match, that Ireland might not win it . I felt for the defeated Irish fans in the pub. A girl was close to burst in tears. A guy staring empty for 5-10 minutes, with the collar of his jersey in his mouth ..It almost hurt to see .. The Kiwis have won enough to take a defeat, but for the Irish to go out in the quarter once again, with this team ...

As a Bok, we tried to warn them but they wouldn’t listen. Despite mouthing the platitudes you could see that they were mentally already in the final in a way that the ABs or Boks have never done and will never do regardless of form or player quality at any given moment. That great ‘15 AB side would have lost their semi against that bang average Bok side if they had the unconscious presumption this Irish team betrayed. That’s how you learn if you are receptive to harsh lessons.

As a kiwi, I say it's not a curse it's a lack of belief within the Irish playing group, but having said that no one can say the Irish didn't give it everything and if they keep playing at this level there is no ceiling on how successful they can be, it was a very honourable loss, not that it will be of much comfort to the Irish commiserations to the Irish boys

Ya, it's tough, especially being Johnny's last WC. Sure good luck to ye Kiwis. Certainly peaked & took the game by the balls in first 20 mins, that dictated the rest of the game. I was surprised at the French this evening, and I thought they'd put SA away. Disappointed for them aswell being the host nation. We in SA have huge respect for our opponents NZ and France in particular. And of course Ireland whom we have battled against in last few years We have not shown all our cards and feel we have the beating of the French as good as they are.
